Akimitsu Takase is a Japanese voice actor, or seiyuu, born on September 1, 1970, in Chiba Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent management firm Aksent, having previously been with Mouse Promotion. His career in voice acting began in the mid-1990s, with his earliest roles dating back to 1996. Takase has built a substantial and varied career, providing voices for a wide range of characters across numerous anime television series, original video animations (OVAs), and films. His work is primarily in supporting roles, where he frequently portrays characters in positions of authority, such as officials, managers, and captains, as well as more rugged or villainous types. He is also active in voice work for video games and dubbed foreign content. His career is marked by a consistent presence in long-running and popular franchises. He has had roles in major series such as Naruto, where he voiced Kaiza, and its sequel Naruto Shippuden, as Akaboshi.
