TV-Series
Description

13Labyrinth
Kazuki,Soushi, and Maya enter a simulation program called the Labyrinth. The island’s computer system generates the Labyrinth to test the pilots’ mental resilience. Each participant experiences personalized illusions drawn from their memories and fears. Soushi separates from the group and encounters a Festum that mimics his own appearance. The fake Soushi questions his identity and his connection to the Festum. Kazuki searches for Soushi and clashes with multiple simulated Festum units. Maya navigates a distorted version of the island’s school, where corridors shift without warning. The simulation’s safety protocols fail, trapping the three inside. Kazuki destroys the illusionary Festum that confronts Soushi. The collapse of the Labyrinth releases them back into the real-world control room. The system logs show that the simulation extracted new data about the Festum’s cognitive patterns. A large Festum rises from the ocean and moves directly toward the island.
14Occupation (Awakening)
Maya Toomi and Kyouhei Kyouhei launch a mission to rescue Kazuki Makabe at the Moldova base. The Neo United Nations fleet invades the Alvis base on Tatsumiya Island. The invading force attempts to secure the red female core,a Coagula Type Festum. The core has already vacated its container before their arrival. Yoji Hino persuades the Master Type Festum Mjolnir, which has assimilated Akane Makabe, to release the Fafner Mark Sein for Kazuki. Yukie and Colonel Dudley Barnes interrogate Fumihiko Makabe and Soushi Minashiro about the female core's location. Both men confirm they do not know where the core currently resides. Kyouhei engages and fights off Festum creatures inside the laboratory facility. During the chaos, Yoji hands Maya the research data for the Fafner Mark Sein. The Neo UN forces find nothing but an empty container where the island's core should have been. The Human Army loses its chance to capture the Festum core as external enemies and internal resistance close in from all sides.
15Scream (Memory)
The Neo UN fleet occupies the Alvis base, but the female island core remains missing. At the Moldova base, Kazuki receives the Fafner Mark Sein from Mjolnir. Idun, a Master Type Festum, consumes Mjolnir, which enrages Kazuki as he continues to fight. Kazuki and Idun sink into a lava pit that the Fafner Mark Sein generates. Inside the pit, Kazuki confronts his past memories of Soushi first injuring his left eye and of the green crystals first implanting into his own body. Maya and Kyouhei witness Kazuki defeating Idun from above the lava pit. After the battle, Kazuki tells Maya and Kyouhei that he now understands what he faces and looks forward to protecting the island. The episode features the insert song "Proof" by angela. Kazuki emerges from the battle with a clarified sense of purpose, directly setting the stage for his renewed commitment to Tatsumiya Island's defense against the next Festum assault.
16Welcome Home (Friends)
The Neo UN fleet maintains control of the Alvis base when a new Festum flock begins assaulting the island. Seri Tatekami stays with the female island core,Tsubaki Minashiro, before she returns to the base. Chizuru locates Tsubaki and transports her to the lighthouse. Tsubaki then leads Fumihiko Makabe and Soushi Minashiro to a second command center as base controls move on their own. Mamoru, Kenji, and Sakura launch in their Fafner units but fail to mount an effective defense against the Festum. The three pilots suffer defeat as the enemy overwhelms their combat capabilities. Kazuki returns to the island at this critical moment and sorties in the Fafner Mark Sein. He synchronizes directly with Soushi to enhance his combat performance. Kazuki destroys the Festum using a rifle and then a lance sword. The island regains a temporary respite, but the Neo UN forces remain on the base and the Festum threat continues. Kazuki's reappearance forces both the human intruders and the alien enemy to recalculate their next moves.
17Device (Survival)
Maya Tōmi hands over the research data to Fumihiko Makabe. Kyouhei reports that Yoki sacrificed himself to destroy the Festums inside the laboratory. Tsubaki Minashiro, revealed as Soushi's younger sister, resides within the Alvis base. Commander Makabe regains control of Tatsumiya Island from the Neo United Nations forces. The Human Army's Colonel orders Michio Hino to depart from the island while requesting Canon Memphis to remain behind. Yukie Kariya docks a submarine near the island and activates the Fenrir System, a self-destruction sequence. Michio detects the activation and warns the Alvis base of the imminent threat. Kyouhei attempts to disarm the Fenrir System, but Canon overrides his efforts and maintains the sequence. The Neo UN fleet launches missiles toward the island, and Michio intercepts them with his Fafner. Released from probation, Kazuki Makabe confronts Canon directly. He persuades her to deactivate the self-destruction sequence, averting the island's destruction. Despite this success, Canon remains on the island with her original orders, leaving the threat unresolved.
18Memories - Father
19Look - Maya
20Light (Lantern)
Tatsumiya Island holds the Bon Festival to commemorate those who died fighting the Festum. Chizuru's tests confirm each Fafner sortie irreversibly reduces a pilot's lifespan, and Maya does not escape this rule. Canon and Sakura reconcile over their past actions during the recent alien invasion. Tsubaki releases Koyo from his frozen capsule after Chizuru had suspended him in a cryogenic state. The assimilated Koyo leaves the base and wanders the island streets alone. The islanders gather for the evening festival, enjoying a temporary respite from combat. The following day, the pilots discover Koyo has left the base and they barricade him inside a shrine to protect him from termination. Soushi spars with Kazuki while Kyouhei positions himself to snipe Koyo if the situation demands it. Canon arrives at the shrine, and her clothing reminds Koyo of the deceased pilot Shoko. This memory pulls Koyo back from his assimilated state to normal consciousness. Koyo regains his humanity, but the pilots cannot escape the knowledge that every battle permanently shortens their lives. The Festum threat remains, and the island's defenders face the looming question of how many more sorties their bodies can endure.
21Future (Sakura)
The pilots of Tatsumiya Island defeat eight Festum approaching the island. After the battle, sunflowers and cherry blossoms bloom spontaneously out of season across the island. Yumiko shows signs of the first natural human pregnancy in thirty years. Fumihiko deduces that the recent string of Festum invasions may serve as a diversion for a larger enemy agenda. The command staff announces a training camp for the pilots to prepare for new enemy types expected to appear soon. During the camp, the pilots receive assigned cleaning duties designed to make them confront personal fears. Kenji confesses romantic feelings to Sakura, creating an awkward but warm atmosphere among the group. Sakura hides recurring headaches from her friends, despite her cheerful demeanor during camp activities. The training camp forces each pilot to face unresolved emotions about their combat roles and lost comrades. While the pilots grow stronger as a team, Sakura's concealed condition threatens to undermine her ability to fight.
22Episode 22
23Decoy (Pillage)
At a Neo UN development base,Yukie undergoes testing to pilot the Fafner Mark Nicht. Idun, a Festum in human form, assimilates Yukie and destroys the entire facility. Kazuki, Maya, and Canon fail to bring Kenji back to the Alvis base following Mamoru's death. Inside the Siegfried System, Soushi confronts memories from his past. Kazuki attempts to rescue Soushi with assistance from Tsubaki. Idun suddenly attacks Tatsumiyajima and tries to assimilate the whole base. Maya, Michio, and Canon intercept the enemy but suffer a swift defeat. Michio activates the self-destruction sequence and tries to eject from his Fafner. The Festum captures Michio before he can escape, and he dies in the explosion. Soushi vanishes along with the entire Siegfried System, leaving Kazuki enraged by the loss. The island now faces an even greater crisis without its command core.
24Mir (Conversation)
Akane, still assimilated with Mjolnir, attempts to merge with Meir, but Meir rejects the union as she continues toward Tatsumiya Island. Kazuki and Maya visit Kenji in the hospital, accompanied by Kiyomi Kaname. Kenji challenges Kazuki to a match, testing his resolve. Fumihiko Makabe decides to join the Neo United Nations fleet in an operation to seize the Festum core. Kyouhei reacts with dismay to Fumihiko's decision. Before the remaining pilots deploy, Mjolnir arrives on the island. Mjolnir explains that Akane has accepted and blessed the Festum, having learned to understand the enemy. Mjolnir then provides Alvis with vital data that can reduce the assimilation process and restore previously assimilated individuals. Koyo and Mjolnir together fend off Festum attacking the island. The remaining four pilots prepare for Operation Azure, a mission to save Soshi and the future of humankind. The episode ends with the pilots departing for the final battle against the North Pole Mir.
25Azure ~ The Sky
Kazuki and his fleet depart from Tatsumiya Island to assault the North Pole Mir. The mission requires the survival of every pilot,as the death of one reduces everyone else's chances to near zero. The pilots charge directly into the enemy core to extract Soushi, who remains trapped inside. Tsubaki enters the death process to complete the Festums' understanding of life and death. Idun uses the Siegfried System to control Soushi and exploit the weaknesses of the attacking pilots. Kazuki, Maya, Kenji, Canon, and Kyouhei reunite in battle and defeat Idun together. Kazuki, with assistance from Akane, pulls Soushi from the core and bears the cost of assimilation. Maya fires a sniper shot at the ascending Meir, preventing it from spreading across the entire planet. Tsubaki merges with the island's core and dissolves out of existence. Idun, still active inside the Fafner Mark Nicht, attacks Kazuki and Soushi to prevent their escape. Koyo arrives and saves the two pilots from Idun's assault. As Kazuki and Soushi travel back toward the island, Soushi vanishes completely because of his advanced assimilation state.
