Takaya Hashi was a highly respected Japanese voice actor born on September 8, 1952, in Tokyo. His birth name was Takaya Katō. He passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 72. A graduate of the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, he began his entertainment career in the theatre, joining the Seinenza Theater Company in April 1974. He transitioned into voice acting in the early 1980s, with some of his first roles in anime series like Aura Battler Dunbine and Galactic Whirlwind Sasuraiger in 1983.
