Jochen Langner is a German actor and voice artist, born on August 12, 1971, in Stadthagen. He pursued his passion for performance at the prestigious Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin, studying from 1996 to 2000. This classical training laid a strong foundation for a versatile career that spans theatre, film, and voice acting. Based in Cologne, he works as a freelance actor, speaker, and director, and is a co-founder of the Horchposten collective, which focuses on radio plays, installations, and theatre.

While Langner has an extensive career in front of the camera and on stage, he is widely recognized for his contributions as a dubbing artist in the German localization of anime. His work allows German-speaking audiences to experience popular Japanese animations. Among his notable roles is Yoki in the feature film The Deer King (2022). He is also known for voicing Tenkei Iwafune in the K: Seven Stories film series and its preceding television seasons. Another significant role is Shirō Sanaa, featured in the movie Uchū Senkan Yamato 2199: Hoshi-Meguru Hakobune, as well as the associated Star Blazers 2199 television series.

Langner's voice can be heard in a wide array of other anime productions. He has taken on roles in long-running and popular series such as Bleach, where he voiced Nieder and, in the film Memories of Nobody, both Ganryuu and Yasutora Chad Sado. His repertoire includes the character Zed O'Brien in Blood Blockade Battlefront, Igor Neuhaus in Blue Exorcist, and Daigo Oguruma in God Eater. He has also lent his voice to characters in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, and the Magi series.

His work often involves recurring roles within a franchise or collaborations with specific dubbing studios. Examples include his portrayal of Leon Riviere in both seasons of Jormungand and Albert Ende in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!.
