Hitomi Ohwada
Description
Hitomi Ohwada is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with Aoni Production. She was born on March 23, 1990, in Kanagawa Prefecture. She is a graduate of the Department of Music in the College of Art at Nihon University, where she majored in saxophone, with a particular specialty in the alto saxophone.
Before becoming a voice actor, Ohwada worked at a company after graduating from university. During this time, she pursued her interest in voice acting by taking night and weekend courses at the Human Academy comprehensive school. One year later, she successfully joined Aoni Production, marking the start of her career in the industry in 2013.
Her path to a major breakthrough role is a notable story of perseverance. In the autumn of 2013, she auditioned for the main roles of Aoi Miyamori, Ema Yasuhara, and Shizuka Sakaki for the anime Shirobako but was not selected. A year later, she was contacted and offered the part of a classmate. Initially happy just to be involved, she only realized upon receiving the script and attending the recording session for the promotional video that she had been cast as Midori Imai, which became her first leading role. The role of Midori Imai in Shirobako is widely considered her breakout performance.
Since her debut, Ohwada has built a diverse portfolio of roles across anime, video games, and other media. Her filmography includes many of the roles listed by the user, such as Lily in I'm Quitting Heroing, Miu Inaba in Planet With, Ryoko Yoshida in The Demon Girl Next Door and its sequel, Koyori Tanemura in Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me and its film Precious Friends, Eagle in Girly Air Force, Kayo in Woodpecker Detective's Office, Miyako Shirakaba in Blue Reflection Ray, Nanami in Onagawa Chū Baske-bu: 5-nin no Natsu, Charlotte in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You, Xóchitl in A Certain Scientific Railgun T, and Klaudia Valentz in the Atelier Ryza anime adaptation. She is also well-known for her role as Ayano Hanesaki in Hanebad!. In video games, she has lent her voice to prominent titles, including Nia in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Abigail Williams in Fate/Grand Order, Smart Falcon in the Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise, and the recurring role of Klaudia Valentz in the Atelier Ryza game series.
