Reba West

Description
Reba West is the professional pseudonym of Rebecca Forstadt, an American voice actor renowned for her extensive work in English-language dubs of anime, where she frequently portrays young female characters. Born on December 16, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, she studied theater at Orange Coast College in California, which led to early work performing in melodramas at Knott's Berry Farm. Before focusing on voice acting, Forstadt gained experience in the entertainment industry as a wardrobe mistress on television series such as The White Shadow and Hill Street Blues and appeared in live-action roles on shows like Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, and L.A. Law, as well as in low-budget films.

Her pivotal career breakthrough came when she was cast as Lynn Minmei in the English adaptation of the anime series Robotech during the 1980s, a role for which she is perhaps best known and performed under the Reba West credit. This opportunity launched a prolific voice-acting career that has spanned hundreds of roles across anime, non-anime cartoons, and video games. Her extensive list of anime credits includes the parts specified by the user: she voiced the titular character Sugar in A Little Snow Fairy Sugar and its Summer Special, Peter in Back to the Forest, Rika Furude in When They Cry (Higurashi), the title character Minky Momo in Magical Princess Minky Momo, Amy March in Little Women, Becca in The Swiss Family Robinson: Flone of the Mysterious Island, Miyuki Onizuka in Samurai Girl Real Bout High School, Amala in De:vadasy, and, most iconically, Lynn Minmei in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross (as part of the Robotech adaptation).

In addition to these roles, Forstadt has voiced a multitude of other notable characters, such as Nunnally Lamperouge in Code Geass, Mihoshi Kuramitsu in the Tenchi Muyo! series, Tima in Metropolis, Suiseiseki in Rozen Maiden, and Monomi in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. A recurring aspect of her career has been her frequent work with the Tenchi Muyo! franchise, providing voices for several characters including Mihoshi Kuramitsu across numerous OVAs, movies, and spin-offs. Her work has also extended to live-action productions where she provided voice work, such as Masked Rider and Power Rangers: Time Force, and she has performed background voices for Hollywood films like Antz, Dr. Dolittle, and The Santa Clause. A notable achievement includes not only voicing Lynn Minmei but also performing the character's singing voice for the songs featured throughout Robotech, which have become memorable to fans of the series.
