Stephan's path to performance began with professional training at the Schauspielstudio Frese and the Stage School of Music, Dance, and Drama in Hamburg, supplemented by voice acting lessons. His career commenced on the stage, with early engagements at renowned institutions like the Bad Hersfelder Festspiele, leading to roles in numerous theatrical productions and musicals, including Cats, West Side Story, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
