Massimo Corvo is an Italian actor and voice actor, born in Rome on 9 July 1959. He began his career in entertainment as a child actor, appearing in films such as Federico Fellini's 8½ in 1963. Over the decades, he has built a prolific career encompassing work on stage, in radio, and on Italian television series, with notable appearances in shows like Il capitano, Butta la luna, and Squadra antimafia – Palermo oggi. However, he is most renowned for his extensive and influential work in the field of voice dubbing, an area where he has been active since the late 1980s.

Corvo's voice is widely recognized by Italian audiences for a vast array of animated characters. Among his most celebrated roles are the Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the villainous Jafar in Aladdin, and Shan-Yu in Mulan. He has also lent his voice to characters from Pixar films, including Bloat in Finding Nemo and its sequel Finding Dory, as well as Lucius Best / Frozone in The Incredibles and Incredibles 2. His work extends across numerous other animated features, such as the villain Drago Bludvist in How to Train Your Dragon 2 and the character Massimo Marcovaldo in the 2021 Disney/Pixar film Luca.

In the realm of anime, Massimo Corvo is the Italian voice of Commander Gendo Ikari. He has voiced this complex character across the entire Evangelion franchise, including the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series, the films Death & Rebirth and The End of Evangelion, and the entire Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, which includes Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. Another significant anime role is that of Fujimoto, the wizard and father of the title character, in Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. His voice work for Studio Ghibli also includes providing the new Italian voice for the protagonist in a 2010 redub of Porco Rosso.

Beyond animation, Corvo has achieved prominence as the official Italian voice of actor Sylvester Stallone, taking over the role following the death of Ferruccio Amendola in 2001. He is also the regular Italian voice for actors Laurence Fishburne and Jean Reno in the majority of their film roles. His extensive live-action dubbing repertoire includes being the voice for a wide range of acclaimed actors such as Forest Whitaker, Samuel L. Jackson, Vin Diesel, Bruce Willis, and Benicio del Toro, among many others.
