Dirk Meyer is a German voice actor born on September 11, 1975, in Munich. His entry into the world of voice acting came at the age of eleven through the professional connections of his mother, a sound editor. This early opportunity led to his first ongoing role, providing the German voice for Brian Tanner in the television series ALF. Following his secondary school leaving certificate in 1993, he pursued private training in acting, speech, and phonetics. Beyond his voice work, Meyer has also been active as a studio manager and music publisher.
Meyer is highly regarded within the German anime community for his versatile vocal performances. He is perhaps most recognized for his long-standing role as Lysop, the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates, in the monumental series One Piece.
