As part of this franchise, she also formed the singing unit Feathers with fellow voice actress Ayasa Itō. Her solo music career launched in 2011 with the single "Tenshi no Clover," which was used as the opening theme for the anime Astarotte no Omocha!.

Aimi is best known for her leading role as Kasumi Toyama in the highly popular multimedia franchise BanG Dream!. In this project, she not only voices the protagonist but also performs live as the guitarist and vocalist for the in-universe band, Poppin'Party. Her live musical performance was a direct inspiration for the creation of the BanG Dream! franchise itself. Another significant and long-standing role is Julia in The Idolmaster: Million Live! game and anime adaptation.

Her career is marked by recurring collaborations with the talent agency Hibiki and Bushiroad, leading to major roles in several of their multimedia projects. Beyond BanG Dream!, she voices Kyoko Yamate in the D4DJ franchise across its various anime series and games. She has also had a long history with the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise, voicing characters such as Suiko Tatsunagi and Chōno (Amu Chouno). In addition to her voice acting, Aimi has a successful solo singing career. Her subsequent singles have been used as theme songs for anime series, including "Kazanear" for How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom and "MAGICAL DESTROYER" for Magical Destroyers. A key achievement in her career is her ability to seamlessly integrate her musical talents with her voice acting roles, a skill that has made her a central figure in several music-centric anime franchises.
