Krystal LaPorte is an American voice actress known for her work in English dubs of anime series, primarily for Sentai Filmworks and Funimation. Born in the Chicago area, she developed an early interest in performing arts and theater before pursuing higher education. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, Political Science, and Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, she also studied acting theory and improv. LaPorte later attended the University of Houston Law Center, and it was during her three years in law school that she began to actively pursue a career in voice acting.

In addition to her voice acting career, LaPorte is also a practicing criminal defense attorney based in Dallas, Texas. She balances her legal career with voice acting sessions, which often take place in the evenings.

LaPorte's voice acting career began around 2013. One of her earliest prominent roles was as Shiori Asagiri in the English dub of Tamako Market in 2014. That same year, she voiced Akechi Mitsuhide in The Ambition of Oda Nobuna and Misa Takayama in the first season of Log Horizon, a role she would reprise for the third season.

Her career continued to gain momentum in 2015 when she was cast in several lead and supporting roles. She voiced the main character Yui Takamura in Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse and was cast as Yui Goido, the host of the goddess Mars, in The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc. That year also saw her take on the significant lead role of Mirai Kuriyama in Beyond the Boundary, which became one of her most recognized performances. She also provided voices for multiple characters in Chaika - The Coffin Princess, including Frederica and Dominica Skoda.

Over the following years, LaPorte continued to build an extensive filmography. In 2016, she voiced Tsunomi Kabutohara in Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil. The following year, she took on the main role of Nikka Edvardine Katajainen in Brave Witches. She voiced Tina in the second season of Overlord in 2018 and played the character Rylibeu in Dragon Ball Super in 2019. In 2021, she was the voice of Marie in the fantasy comedy Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town. More recently, in 2022, she voiced Perdura in Smile of the Arsnotoria. Her other credits include roles in series such as Kemono Friends, Parasyte, Black Bullet, and the animated pilot for Hazbin Hotel as Cherri Bomb.

Throughout her career, LaPorte has frequently collaborated with other notable figures in the English dubbing industry. She worked under the direction of Chris Ayres on multiple projects, including The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc, and the two were in a personal relationship for nine years until his passing in 2021. Her work has also seen her frequently cast alongside regular voice actors from the Sentai Filmworks and Funimation rosters, such as Chris Patton, Luci Christian, and Brittney Karbowski. LaPorte remains active in the industry, appearing as a guest at anime conventions and continuing to lend her voice to new anime series.
