Moe Toyota is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on March 15, 1995, in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Style Cube. Toyota's interest in becoming a voice actor was sparked during her youth by manga and anime such as Kodomo no Omocha and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. In 2012, while still in high school, she passed an audition for Style Cube and began her career as a trainee. Her debut voice acting role was as an unnamed student in the 2012 anime series Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru!.
Toyota is known for several major and recurring roles in anime. One of her most prominent roles is Sapphire Kawashima, also known as Midori, in the Sound! Euphonium franchise. She first voiced the character in the 2015 television series and has since reprised the role in multiple sequels, including Sound! Euphonium 2 and Sound! Euphonium 3, as well as several films such as Liz and the Blue Bird, Gekijō-ban Hibike! Euphonium: Todoketai Melody, and Gekijō-ban Hibike! Euphonium: Kitauji Kōkō Suisōgaku-Bu e Yōkoso. Another significant long-term role is Kanon Matsubara in the BanG Dream! multimedia project. Toyota has voiced the character in the main anime television series, the short-form Girls Band Party! Pico series and its sequels Pico Ohmori and Pico Fever!, and the animated films FILM LIVE and FILM LIVE 2nd Stage.
Her other notable anime roles include Sakura Inami in the Beyond the Boundary television series and its subsequent film, Mei-chan in Recently, my sister is unusual., Anna Atsuta in Nobunaga Teacher's Young Bride, Jane in KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will, Misao Ushiku in Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing 'til You Cry, and a character named Moe in both Hulaing Babies and its follow-up Hulaing Babies Aratame: Staying Babies. In 2024, she voiced the role of Yūhi Yūgure, also known as Chika Watanabe, in the anime series Seiyū Radio no Ura Omote. Beyond anime, Toyota has lent her voice to characters in numerous video games, including Hanako Urawa in Blue Archive, Khalara in Fairy Fencer F, and Kanadeko in Omega Quintet.
In addition to her voice acting work, Toyota is an active member of two musical units. In April 2013, she joined the voice actor unit StylipS alongside Miku Itō. Later, in May 2015, she and Itō formed the subunit Pyxis, for which Toyota is also responsible for designing the costumes.
