Shiho Kokido

Description
Shiho Kokido is a Japanese voice actress from Tokyo, born on December 20. She is affiliated with the talent management firm Ken Production. Kokido is a graduate of Tamagawa University, where she studied performing arts in the College of Arts. Her path to voice acting was influenced by her early involvement in her middle school's drama club and attendance at a musical academy, which solidified her desire to perform. After training as part of the 12th generation at the voice actor school School Duo, she came under the care of Ken Production in April 2012, choosing the agency because her instructor from the musical academy was also affiliated there. Her first experience in a recording studio was providing Japanese dubbing for the animated series Sofia the First.

Kokido's first leading role in a major anime series came in 2015 when she was cast as Aroma in the popular magical girl franchise Go! Princess Precure. This role also led to her reprising the character in several subsequent Precure theatrical films, including Eiga Precure All Stars: Haru no Carnival, Eiga Precure Dream Stars!, and the Go! Princess Precure film trilogy. Her career is marked by a wide range of roles, often bringing energetic or youthful characters to life. She has a noted talent for voicing child characters, a skill she has frequently employed. Examples of this include her performance as the mysterious shape-shifting child Poco in Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari and as the young Olminu in the dark fantasy series Drifters. In 2016, she landed another significant role as Torajirou Asuka in Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters. Her repertoire also includes comedy, such as playing the novice agent Miki Ishimoto in the short-form series Sekkō Boys.

Across her filmography, she has taken on a variety of supporting and lead roles in productions mentioned by the user. This includes the role of Yō Shiokoshi in the anime adaptation of Kakushigoto. She also voiced Aya Shiratori in the soccer-themed series Farewell, My Dear Cramer. Her work extends to the long-running GeGeGe no Kitarō franchise, where she played the character Yūta. While her role in the Donten ni Warau Gaiden: Shukumei, Sōtō no Fūma is part of her credited work, her contributions to the Precure films as Aroma are a consistent and prominent part of her early career highlights.

Beyond anime, Kokido is active in video games, providing voices for titles such as Granblue Fantasy and the Japanese dub of Batman: Arkham Knight as Harley Quinn. She also works on foreign language dubbing for movies and TV series, with notable credits including Klaus Baudelaire in the Netflix series A Series of Unfortunate Events. Her performance skills extend to stage musicals, and she has participated in live music shows related to her anime roles, such as the Go! Princess Precure musical. She was also a member of a vocal unit called Marukitosuewara, formed with fellow voice actresses Yuka Maruyama, Rie Suegara, and Saki Ogasawara, whom she has known since their training school days.
