Shūichirō Umeda is a Japanese voice actor born on October 11, 1995. He is affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production and has been active in the industry since 2018. His decision to pursue a career in voice acting was inspired after seeing voice actress Rie Suegara at the Tokyo Game Show, which led him to enroll in the training school School Duo, from which Suegara had graduated. After completing his training at School Duo in 2018, he joined Ken Production that same year.

Umeda has quickly become a prominent figure in the anime industry, frequently cast in leading and central roles. His career gained significant momentum in 2022 with his portrayals of Saybil in The Dawn of the Witch and Yuuki Izumi in Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie. The following year, he voiced Pochita in My Life as Inukai-san's Dog and Akira Tendō in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead. In 2023, his burgeoning talent was formally recognized when he received the Best New Actor Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards.

Umeda's filmography continued to expand rapidly. In 2024, he took on roles such as Shintarō Tokumitsu in Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included, Jōgorō Kobato in How to Become Ordinary, Haruka in Loner Life in Another World, and Chirinu Nio (also known as Nio Chirinu) in The Blue Wolves of Mibu. He also starred as Kazuhiko Nukumizu in the popular series Too Many Losing Heroines!. In 2025, he voices the title character Hikaru Indō in The Summer Hikaru Died and is set to portray Koichi Haimawari, also known as The Crawler, in the anime adaptation of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. Other upcoming roles include Alec Yugret in The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, Mitsuru in Tsuru ga Mau Yoru ni, and Akira Himegami in Dusk Beyond the End of the World. His portfolio also extends to video games, with notable performances as Chadley in Final Fantasy VII Remake and its sequel, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
