His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Rurumo, a novice witch from the magical realm who is on a mission to earn her witch's license. Rurumo offers Kouta a set of magical tickets, each granting a single wish. However, using these tickets comes with a cost: for every wish made, Kouta's lifespan is shortened. Despite the risks, Kouta begins using the tickets to help others and navigate his daily life, often leading to humorous and heartwarming situations.

3Magical Girl Showdown
Rurumo casts a memory alteration spell on Kota's family, making his parents believe she is his younger sister. The spell allows Rurumo to move into the Shibaki household under the guise of Kota's sibling. Kota experiences distress because he cannot act on any romantic or perverted impulses toward someone presented as his sister. Rurumo decides to work in the school cafeteria as self-punishment for enjoying her time with Kota too much. Her lack of coordination results in numerous errors, including dropping dishes and serving food incorrectly. The Occult Club president notices Rurumo and expresses interest in her knowledge of magic. A female classmate also shows interest in Kota, leading him to misunderstand her intentions. Chiro, the talking black cat, continues to monitor Kota and observes his reactions to Rurumo. Rurumo attempts to repay Kota for a dress he bought her, demonstrating her growing sense of obligation toward him. The episode ends with Rurumo still living in Kota's home and the magic tickets unused, preserving Kota's lifespan while maintaining their contract. The next episode introduces Inoue Sumiko, a strict student monitor who has known Kota since elementary school and despises his reputation as a pervert.
4Inoue - the Disciplinary Committee Member
Inoue Sumiko leads the disciplinary committee in a crackdown on Kouta Shibaki's hidden adult magazine collection. Inoue has known Kouta since elementary school and cannot stand his reputation as a pervert. The committee enforces rules through physical punishment, including beating offenders with their fists. Chiro transforms into a human girl using her limited thirty-minute ability and enters the school. She wears a dress and announces to Kouta that she remembered to put on underwear, exposing her lack of social awareness. Rurumo accompanies Chiro but collapses upon seeing a frog, a trauma that persists even after the frog disappears. Kouta looks up girls' skirts under the pretense of checking for the committee, demonstrating his habitual 'Pantsu Vision.' When Kouta declares that girls' underwear feels gentler than the blue sky, several female students check their own skirts, including Rurumo. Inoue confiscates the magazines but struggles with her conflicting feelings toward Kouta, whom she has known since childhood. The disciplinary committee fails to permanently stop Kouta's behavior, as his stash survives the raid. Chiro's successful transformation into a human gives her a new way to interact with Kouta and Rurumo at school. The disciplinary committee's failed raid leaves Kouta's stash intact and sets up continued conflict with Inoue in future episodes.
6Incident on a Rainy Day
Kouta picks up gravure magazines from the ground, and younger students witness him. To hide his embarrassment, he quickly grabs a box left nearby, which contains three abandoned kittens. Kouta's mother dislikes animals and forces him to remove the kittens from the house. He brings the kittens to school and begins searching for new homes for them. The kittens attract attention from female classmates, temporarily improving Kouta's reputation. Chiro explains the differences between magical world cats and ordinary cats, revealing her own past as a stray. Rurumo observes Kouta caring for the kittens and recalls how he previously took in other strays. The sickliest kitten, a white one named Jiken, grows weaker despite Kouta's efforts. Jiken retrieves Kouta's magic ticket book twice before collapsing and dying. Kouta experiences loss as Jiken dies, and he finds homes for the two surviving kittens. The episode closes with Kouta reflecting on Jiken's short life. The following episode shifts to a beach trip where Kouta and Rurumo face swimsuit-related challenges.
7Legendary Swimsuit
Kouta and his friends travel to the beach at their senior's suggestion. Rurumo refuses to change out of her witch outfit because she forgot to buy a swimsuit. Chiro finds a hidden swimsuit inside a shrine on the beach. The swimsuit is the Legendary Swimsuit that the Occult Club president has been searching for. The swimsuit imbues its wearer with romantic assertiveness and, when worn by a witch, augments strength and speed. Rurumo puts on the swimsuit and immediately begins chasing Kouta with aggressive romantic intent. Kouta runs from Rurumo and manages to resist her advances, trapping himself under a concrete tripod to escape. Kouta reflects that he would rather have Rurumo kiss him of her own free will than under a magical influence. On the train home, Kouta watches a sunburnt Rurumo sleep and admits a small regret about his decision. The episode ends as a first-class witch named Harulily arrives to check on Rurumo, setting up the next conflict.
8Rank 1 Witch Haruriri Descends
A twin-tailed witch named Warua Haruriri descends from the sky with an umbrella while Kota walks to school. She identifies herself as a rank 1 witch and offers to establish a magic contract with him. Kota flees to save his life, but Haruriri pursues him and offers free magic tickets that carry no penalty of shortened lifespan. Kota accepts a sample ticket and uses it to gain X-ray vision, peeking at the girls in his class. Haruriri reveals herself as a former classmate of Rurumo from magic school and aims to steal Kota as her contractor to prevent Rurumo from regaining her witch status. Haruriri follows Rurumo through a series of part-time jobs, including work at a family restaurant where Rurumo takes orders incorrectly. Rurumo gets fired from each job quickly, and Haruriri watches as Rurumo refuses to blame anyone else for her failures. Haruriri observes Rurumo speaking about Kota with unusual warmth and realizes Rurumo has grown attached to the human boy. Instead of competing for Kota, Haruriri accepts that Rurumo has found happiness in her current situation. The episode closes with Haruriri returning to the magic world, leaving Rurumo and Kota with their unresolved arrangement where each ticket Kota uses brings him closer to death.
9Episode 9
Masako Shimomura drops a cosplay accessory at school, and Rurumo witnesses the incident. Masako mistakes Rurumo's witch outfit for cosplay and invites her to a cosplay event. Rurumo agrees to become Masako's cosplay friend and watches several anime episodes that Masako recommends. Masako sews a matching magical girl costume for Rurumo to wear at an upcoming event. Rurumo tells Kota about Masako's hobby, and the information spreads throughout the school. The other students react with curiosity rather than scorn, and Masako finds her secret exposed without negative consequences. Later, the 170-year-old cloth chest covering that Rurumo wears snaps. She becomes too embarrassed to stand near Kota without it. Rurumo asks Masako for help finding a replacement, and Masako informs nearly every girl in their class about the situation. The female students take Rurumo to a lingerie store and introduce her to modern bras. Kota delivers a speech stating that breast size does not matter and that what matters is whether they are treasured. The episode contains no magic ticket usage or supernatural events. Rurumo expresses disappointment when Kota fails to notice her new undergarment, and Chiro observes that he would not see it beneath her clothes.
10Mixed Bathing Trip in Okamimura
The Mysterious Discovery Club and their companions travel to Okamimura,a mountain town known for wolf legends and hot springs. Chiro transforms into a human form and introduces herself as Rurumo's younger sister. At the inn, the group enters a mixed bath. Kota attempts to pull off the girls' towels, but the female students have placed additional towels underneath as a precaution. The club's senior member makes Kota drink a bottle of water as payment for avoiding the shrine investigation. The water, called oomizu, transforms the drinker into a wolf. Kota loses his ability to speak and becomes a wolf. Rurumo recognizes her contractor despite his changed form. She understands that if Kota remains a wolf too long, he will permanently lose his human mind and cannot make a wish to reverse it. Rurumo uses her magic to return Kota to his human form. The transformation incident demonstrates that Rurumo can identify Kota regardless of his appearance. The episode reinforces the bond between the two characters without advancing the main plot of Kota's shortening lifespan. As the group returns home, the magic tickets remain in Kota's possession, each unused ticket representing a wish he cannot afford to make.
11A Promise Made of Marbles
Rurumo recalls a childhood promise she made with a human girl named Natsumi. Rurumo gave Natsumi a marble as a token of friendship before Natsumi moved away. Rurumo promised to return the same marble to Natsumi when they met again. Years later,Rurumo realizes she lost the marble and cannot keep her word. She becomes withdrawn and stops speaking to Kouta. Kouta notices her changed behavior and asks about the reason. Rurumo explains the broken promise and the lost marble. Kouta searches the riverbank where Rurumo last played as a child and finds the marble lodged between stones. He returns the marble to Rurumo, and they locate Natsumi working at a convenience store. Natsumi does not recognize Rurumo and barely remembers the marble or the promise. Rurumo hands the marble to Natsumi, who accepts it with a polite thank you but shows no emotional connection. Rurumo understands that human memories fade over time, unlike her own immortal recollection. The episode ends with Rurumo quietly questioning whether forming bonds with humans has any meaning, leaving her uncertain about continuing her time with Kouta.
12A Day Without Rurumo
Kota sees a furisode in a kimono shop window and decides to rent it for Rurumo. He works a part-time job to earn the money and borrows the remaining amount from his mother. Kota hides the kimono as a surprise for New Year's. On New Year's morning,Kota wakes up and cannot remember Rurumo at all. His family and friends also have no memory of her, though they feel something missing from their day. Photographs showing Rurumo remain visible, but the memory wipe prevents anyone from recognizing her. Kota experiences headaches when he nearly breaks through the spell's effect. Rurumo's evaluation requires everyone who knows her to temporarily forget her existence to avoid interference. At the stroke of midnight, the spell breaks and Kota remembers Rurumo just as she passes him wearing the kimono. Rurumo explains this evaluation will occur once per year as part of her witch training. Kota apologizes for not advancing her training, but both characters prefer their current arrangement. The episode ends with Kota and Rurumo holding hands, while the magic tickets that shorten Kota's life with each wish remain unused and unresolved.
