Description
Nico Robin serves as the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, uniquely capable of reading and deciphering Poneglyphs, ancient stones holding forbidden historical knowledge. This rare skill originates from her tragic past as the sole survivor of Ohara, an island obliterated by the World Government for researching the Void Century. Following its destruction, she received an initial bounty of 79,000,000 Berries at age eight, labeled the "Devil Child." Her path included joining Baroque Works as "Miss All Sunday" under Crocodile before finding her place with the Straw Hat Pirates. Her ultimate dream is to uncover the world's true history by locating the Rio Poneglyph.

She consumed the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. This power allows her to sprout duplicates of her body parts—such as eyes and ears—from any surface within her range. She can create unlimited duplicates, form complete clones of herself, and even generate gigantic limbs or wings composed of hands to achieve flight. She typically activates her ability by crossing her arms, though this gesture is not essential.

Robin maintains a calm, reserved demeanor driven by intellectual curiosity. She exhibits composure in most situations, often reading or investigating historical artifacts during voyages. She possesses a dry, morbid sense of humor, frequently speculating about gruesome fates for her crewmates or expressing enthusiasm for horror-themed elements. Despite her serenity, she reacts fiercely when historical artifacts are threatened, defeating Yama for destroying Shandora's ruins in Skypiea.

During the Skypiea Arc, Robin's archaeological expertise fuels her exploration of Upper Yard's ancient ruins. She separates from the crew to investigate Shandora, the fabled City of Gold, discovering a Poneglyph revealing the location of the Ancient Weapon Poseidon, though she expresses no personal interest in such weapons. Her pursuit of historical truth leads to a confrontation with Enel, Skypiea's self-proclaimed god, after learning his plan to annihilate the island. She demonstrates loyalty to her crewmates, reuniting with them inside a giant python to challenge Enel.

Robin's interactions with the Straw Hats reflect deepening trust. She treats Luffy with respect and patience, often humoring his impulses. She shares a sisterly bond with Nami and acts maternally toward Chopper. Her time with the crew gradually softens her stoicism, leading to increased emotional vulnerability and occasional comedic reactions, like her tearful attachment to Kanjuro's drawn dragon, Ryunosuke.

Her physical appearance evolved after a two-year timeskip: her hair lengthened, her figure became more pronounced, and she adopted attire including a short-sleeved vest, sarong skirt, and high-heeled pumps, frequently wearing sunglasses perched on her forehead. In Skypiea, she wore a garnet dress (purple in adaptations) with stockings and boots.

Following the Raid on Onigashima, her bounty increased to 930,000,000 Berries.
