Description
Céline Melloul is a French voice actress born on July 2, 1977, who has built an extensive career in dubbing, particularly recognized for her work in anime and animation. Her professional journey began with a foundation in the performing arts; she holds a master's degree in modern literature and is a graduate of the prestigious Cours Florent drama school in Paris. This training was complemented by numerous experiences in theater, including work under director Ladislas Chollat, before she expanded into the various voice-related professions for which she is now known.
Melloul is perhaps most widely known for her association with the long-running series One Piece. She became the French voice of the archaeologist Nico Robin in 2010, taking over the role from Marcha Van Boven. Her portrayal of Robin spanned several major story arcs, from the Jaya Arc to the Silver Mine Arc, and she also voiced Robin's mother, Nico Olvia, and a child version of the character during flashbacks. Beyond One Piece, Melloul has lent her voice to a wide array of significant roles in other major anime series and films. She is the French voice of Makoto Kino, also known as Sailor Jupiter, in the rebooted anime series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal and its sequel film, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal. Her voice work is not confined to Japanese animation. Melloul has a substantial presence in Western animation as well.
