Description
Luigi, the younger fraternal twin of Mario, was born to Italian parents in Brooklyn, New York. Though inherently timid and prone to anxiety, he cultivated an optimistic resilience, frequently leaning on his brother for reassurance. His attire—a green cap marked by an embroidered "L," a collared green shirt, dark blue overalls with a front pocket, and laced brown boots—complements his lankier frame and subtly distinct mustache.

Originally employed with Mario under Foreman Spike in the Wrecking Crew, the brothers transitioned to running their own plumbing venture. A routine investigation of a water leak thrust them into separate warp pipes: Mario emerged in the Mushroom Kingdom, while Luigi plummeted into the Dark Lands. There, he evaded Dry Bones, was ensnared by Shy Guys, and confined by Bowser in a lava-side cage. Interrogations involved physical threats, including yanking his mustache, as Bowser sought Mario’s location.

Trapped for much of the conflict, Luigi faced imminent execution during Bowser’s coerced marriage to Princess Peach. His salvation came when Peach froze the lava with an Ice Flower, enabling Mario’s Tanooki Suit-assisted rescue. In Brooklyn’s climactic battle, Luigi defied his apprehensions, intercepting Bowser’s fiery assault with a manhole cover. The brothers later harnessed a Super Star’s invincibility and amplified strength to dismantle Bowser’s forces.

A skilled plumber and agile acrobat, Luigi navigated Brooklyn’s rooftops and the Dark Lands’ perils with parkour-like precision. His bond with Mario, rooted in unwavering loyalty and a shared drive to prove their worth amid familial doubt, anchors his narrative. Post-victory, they settled in the Mushroom Kingdom but retained a warp-pipe link to Brooklyn for plumbing jobs.

Cautious yet capable of courage when safeguarding others, Luigi evolved from an anxiety-shadowed figure to an active hero, though his foundational timidity persisted. Childhood mushroom consumption, a quirky preference, contributed to his taller stature—a subtle contrast to his brother.
