Virginie Ogouz is a French actress, born in Paris on February 2, 1968, who is primarily known for her extensive work in voice acting and dubbing. She is the daughter of renowned dubbing actors Philippe Ogouz and Agnès Gribes, placing her in a family with a strong legacy in the field. Ogouz began her career at the age of thirteen in the film Chanel solitaire and later studied drama in London. Her entry into dubbing occurred in 1985, and she quickly became a familiar voice in French-localized versions of numerous anime series, particularly those broadcast during the 1980s and 1990s on channels like La Cinq and within the Club Dorothée programming block.

Ogouz's career is distinguished by a wide array of principal and secondary roles in popular anime. She voiced the title character Caroline in the series Caroline, known in Japanese as Himitsu no Akko-chan 2. She also provided the French voice for Claire Morimura in Les Aventures de Claire et Tipoune (Hello! Spank). In the sports anime Attack No. 1, known in France as Les Attaquantes, she lent her voice to multiple characters, including Wendy, Noriko, and Mitsy, as well as a character named Virginie. Her role as Cyrielle in Tenkū Senki Shurato is also noted, which she took over as a replacement voice. Furthermore, she voiced Juliette in the series Smart-san.

Beyond these specific credits, Ogouz's voice can be heard in a vast number of other anime series that were staples of French television. Her notable roles include Molly/Sailor Mercury and Artemis in the various Sailor Moon series and films, Marie and Gladys in Nadia and the Secret of Blue Water, Danny Mellow and other characters in Olive et Tom (Captain Tsubasa), and Irma in the first 106 episodes of Les Tortues Ninja (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). She also took on roles in Ken le Survivant (Fist of the North Star), Nicky Larson (City Hunter), and Dragon Ball Z.

Throughout her career, Ogouz frequently collaborated with a consistent group of fellow voice actors, including Barbara Tissier, Joëlle Guigui, Pierre Fromont, and Catherine Privat, who were also prominent figures in the French dubbing industry at the time. In addition to her work in animation, her voice is widely recognized for dubbing live-action actresses and roles. She was the French voice of Audrey Horne in the cult series Twin Peaks, as well as voices in Alf, ER, and The Wire. She also dubbed actresses such as Salma Hayek, Penélope Cruz, and Halle Berry in various films. A significant achievement in her career is her work within the DC animated universe, where she voiced several characters in the French version of Batman: The Animated Series, including Zatanna, Harley Quinn, Selina Kyle, and Renée Montoya. In later years, Ogouz has transitioned into voice direction and runs her own talent agency in Paris.
