Anatole de Bodinat is a French actor, born on January 20, 1972, in Lyon, who is primarily known for his extensive work in dubbing. He has played in around fifty stage productions, with a repertoire including works by William Shakespeare, Paul Claudel, Jean Racine, Molière, and Harold Pinter. In addition to his stage career, he has appeared on screen in films such as Bertrand Tavernier's La Princesse de Montpensier and in television series like Profilage and Femmes de loi. De Bodinat is highly active in dubbing, most notably as the regular French voice for actors James Franco, Matt Smith, and Eric Mabius, with numerous credits for other actors including Lee Pace, Robbie Amell, and Penn Badgley. While much of his dubbing work is for live-action films and series, he has also built a significant portfolio in animation and anime. Among his noted anime roles are the character Weather Forecast in the series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Izo in the Netflix film Bright: Samurai Soul, Enmu in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc and its film adaptation, Shin in Dorohedoro, and Tsubaki in the Star Wars: Visions episode of the same name. A further notable anime credit is providing the French voice for the character Ryoji Kaji in the re-dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion and its Rebuild of Evangelion film series.
