Bruno Casemiro
Description
Bruno Casemiro is a Brazilian voice actor, dubber, and narrator known for his work on popular anime series and video games. He began his journey toward a career in voice acting in 2010, a path that eventually led him to participate in and win the first reality show competition for dubbing in Brazil, "Quero Ser Um Dublador," which was promoted by the DuBrasil studios. This victory was a pivotal moment, opening doors for him in the professional dubbing industry.
Casemiro's body of work is extensive and includes some of the most recognizable characters in modern anime. He is widely known as the voice of Eijirou Kirishima in the Portuguese dubs of the hit series My Hero Academia and its related films. Another significant role is that of Tobio Kageyama in the sports anime Haikyu!!. He also took on the role of Nishiki Nishio in Tokyo Ghoul:re. In the fantasy series Fire Force, he voices the protagonist Shinra Kusakabe. His other notable anime credits include Haru Kasugai in Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life, Minamoto Kou in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and Itaru Hashida in Steins;Gate 0.
Beyond anime, Casemiro has lent his voice to major video game franchises. Notably, he is the voice of the character Heimdall in the acclaimed game God of War Ragnarök. He has also provided voices for characters in the Gears of War series, such as Swarm Hunter in Gears of War 5. A particularly personal achievement was being cast as the new voice of Shiryu of the Dragon in the second and third seasons of the Os Cavaleiros do Zodíaco (Saint Seiya) reboot. Having grown up watching the classic series with Shiryu as his favorite character, this role held special significance for him, and he approached it by bringing his own interpretation to the character while respecting the iconic work of the original Brazilian voice actor, Élcio Sodré.
In addition to character dubbing, Bruno Casemiro has a successful career in commercial voice-over and narration. He is a standard voice announcer for several Globo television network affiliate stations in the states of São Paulo and northern Brazil. This work began shortly after his reality show win, when a television director who saw the program reached out to him for tests, eventually leading to his hiring by the network. Casemiro is also a fan of the Pokémon franchise and has expressed a desire to be involved with it in any capacity, and has named Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho as a character he would love to dub.
