Bernd Vollbrecht is a German actor and voice artist. He is predominantly known for his work dubbing live-action films and television series. He has also lent his voice to a select number of anime and animation productions. He began his career with formal training at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. He started his career on stage in the late 1970s, performing with the Grips-Theater, and has been active in theatre in Berlin and Hamburg. Since the mid-1980s, he has focused primarily on voice acting. He is the official German voice of actor Antonio Banderas and has also provided the German voice for numerous other actors, including Greg Kinnear, Robert Knepper, and Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor in Doctor Who. In animated features and series, he has contributed his voice to a variety of characters. This includes the role of Gronkel Stan in the Disney series Gravity Falls. His work in anime includes the character E92 in the 2021 Netflix animated series Eden. He voiced the character Jim in the 2019 anime film Children of the Sea. In the same year, he took on the role of the alchemist Hippokrates in the fantasy film Wonderland: Das Königreich im Keller (The Wonderland). He also voiced Tatsuo Senou in the 2014 historical drama film Giovanni's Island. Additionally, he provided the voice for Escanor in the cinematic release of The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky.
