He has provided voices for a wide range of characters across numerous popular franchises, demonstrating his versatility in the Philippine dubbing industry. Bontogon is also recognized for his work behind the scenes, taking on roles such as a dubbing director and script writer for some projects, including the Filipino adaptation of the 2005 Doraemon anime series.

His career encompasses a variety of prominent roles. He is well-known for voicing Suneo Honekawa in the Filipino dubs of the 2005 Doraemon television series as well as the films Stand By Me Doraemon and Stand By Me Doraemon 2. In addition to this long-running role, Bontogon has voiced lead characters in other major anime, including Shōya Ishida in the film A Silent Voice, Izumi Miyamura in Horimiya, and Sōma Yukihira in the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma series.

Bontogon's filmography also includes a wide array of characters in other notable series.
