Simba Tsuchiya, also known as Shimba Tsuchiya, is a Japanese actor and voice actor born in Tokyo in 1996. His background is distinct for its foundation in physical performance; he trained in Japanese dance and classical ballet from a young age and worked as an action actor before fully committing to voice work. He was inspired to pursue voice acting after meeting Mamoru Miyano, a well-known figure in the industry. He began his career as a child actor at the age of nine, making his first appearance in a commercial.

Tsuchiya's professional voice acting debut came in 2016 when he was cast as Tsutomu Goshiki, the determined wing spiker for Shiratorizawa Academy, in the popular sports anime Haikyu!!. This role helped establish him as a rising talent. He landed his first leading role shortly after, voicing the protagonist Tatara Fujita in the dance series Welcome to the Ballroom in 2017. His career continued to gain momentum with major roles such as Balgo Parks in the supernatural action series Burn the Witch, Shōtarō Futaba in the gymnastics anime Backflip!!, and Shūji Itō in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

In addition to these prominent parts, Tsuchiya has built an extensive and diverse filmography. He has voiced Motomu Tsukinaga in the Sound! Euphonium franchise, Kai Nakamura in The aquatope on white sand, Yasuaki Tani in Farewell, My Dear Cramer, and Piichi Nakagawa in the series MARRIAGETOXIN. His range extends to dubbing foreign media as well, including the role of Tripp Summers in the Japanese dub of Bumblebee and Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

Outside of anime, Tsuchiya is also a stage actor, having performed in productions of Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar and Love's Labor's Lost. For his work, he has received formal recognition from the industry, winning the Best New Actor award at the 15th Seiyu Awards.
