The planet Elementros, a world pulsing with mysterious elemental powers, becomes the new battleground for the legendary conflict between Autobot and Decepticon. Optimus Prime arrives on this uncharted planet while following the trail of his former adversary, Megatron. Upon landing, Optimus discovers that Elementros is home to a unique race of Transformers known as Energy Beasts, who possess the ability to transform into animal and dinosaur forms and harbor the five elemental energies of fire, water, earth, nature, and lightning within their bodies.

The first native Optimus encounters is Lightlong, a curious and energetic giraffe-type Transformer who wields the power of lightning. Their meeting is interrupted when Megatron launches a sudden attack, forcing Optimus and Lightlong to forge an immediate bond. This connection unlocks a new ability called wildocking, allowing the two to combine their forms and become the powerful Wild King. This newfound power enables Optimus to ally with the animal-type Energy Beasts, while Megatron takes command of the more aggressive dinosaur-type Energy Beasts, led by the fiery and prideful Tyrannosaurus Captain Volca.

The central conflict of the series revolves around the struggle between these two factions for control of Elementros and its elemental energies. Optimus Prime, who has reconciled with Megatron prior to arriving on the planet and now seeks power to protect their shared homeworld of Cybertron, must rally the animal tribe. This tribe includes Hydrophant, a timid but powerful elephant with water abilities who learns courage from Optimus; Ignite Leo, a hot-blooded lion who tests the newcomer's worthiness as a hero; Drillnohorn, a rhino who hones his earth-shattering strength; and Skyreport, a wise eagle with nature powers who reveals ancient legends about the planet.

As the series progresses, darker forces emerge from the planet itself. A shadowy entity called Nemesis Prime manifests from within Optimus's own mind, representing a corruption of his heroic spirit that seeks to drag him into darkness. Similarly, Megatron becomes enveloped by a mysterious energy wave, transforming into the sinister Shadow Megatron as he collects all five elemental energies. The ultimate threat is revealed to be World Dragnus, a colossal dragon Transformer and the embodiment of disaster itself, who was sealed away in ancient times. With his dragon soldier minions, World Dragnus possesses a world combination ability that threatens to subjugate all of Elementros once again, forcing both Optimus and Megatron to confront a foe that neither can defeat alone. The fate of the planet ultimately depends on the bonds formed between the Cybertronians and the Energy Beasts, as well as the courage to face the darkness within.
