Krillin appears as a spectator during the food tournament race, watching the competition unfold from the audience alongside other characters including Robin, Coco, Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Puar, Ox-King, Yajirobe, Korin, and Videl.

Later, at the banquet celebrating the tournament's conclusion, Krillin is present when the Deep Sea Glutton Akami emerges. Akami attacks and successfully drains Krillin's energy, along with that of Usopp and Mr. Satan. This absorption causes Akami to grow larger and stronger, with Krillin's drained energy contributing directly to Akami's evolution into a more powerful form capable of absorbing energy-based attacks.

The special does not depict Krillin engaging in combat, utilizing specific techniques, or interacting directly with the main protagonists beyond his presence within the group setting. His role remains limited to that of an observer and later a victim of Akami's energy-draining ability.
