Description
A month after the graduation of Genji Takiya, the legendary leader of the Suzuran All-Boys High School gang, a new power struggle erupts within the infamous "School of Crows." The film takes place almost entirely on the grounds of Suzuran and in the surrounding city of Tōkyō, a place where the currency of respect is paid only in acts of violence.
The central conflict begins with the arrival of two transfer students. The first is Kaburagi Kazeo, a tall and stoic third-year known as "Desperado," who has no interest in ruling the school and simply wants to be left alone. The second is Kagami Ryohei, an arrogant first-year nicknamed "Joker," who immediately begins challenging the established hierarchy with brutal efficiency. They find themselves caught in the middle of a war for the vacant throne currently held by the senior Gōra Toru, a quiet powerhouse known as "The King" who sits at the top of the pecking order.
As Kaburagi tries to remain neutral, he is reluctantly befriended by a small-time faction led by the scrappy Ogisu Kenichi, who sees Kaburagi's raw power as the key to toppling Gōra. Simultaneously, a darker external threat emerges in the form of Hajime Fujiwara, a bitter former student from the rival Kurosaki Industrial High School. Now a member of the local yakuza, Fujiwara begins manipulating both schools into a bloody gang war to exact revenge on his old rival, Shibata Hiroki, the current leader of Kurosaki. To complicate matters, the retired yakuza enforcer Katagiri Ken returns; now working at a local car dealership, he tries to protect the community from the mob while dealing with his personal connection to the hot-headed Kagami.
The narrative arc follows Kaburagi’s transformation from a detached loner into a reluctant leader. After Fujiwara’s schemes lead to the near-destruction of the car shop and the hospitalization of his only friends, Kaburagi abandons his pacifism. He unites the warring factions of Suzuran, including his rival Gōra, to launch a counter-assault against the combined forces of the yakuza and Kurosaki High. The climax features a chaotic final brawl where Kaburagi finally faces Kagami in a one-on-one fight that determines the future of the school. In the aftermath, having united Suzuran and claimed the top spot, Kaburagi is confronted by the final obstacle to total conquest: the legendary, undefeated Rindaman.
