Toshiharu Sakurai is a Japanese voice actor born on July 3, 1964, in Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce. Standing approximately 175 cm tall, his career in voice acting has spanned from the 1980s to the present.

Sakurai's career began in the late 1980s, with one of his earliest roles being in the OVA Dead Heat as Yoshio in 1987. He became known for providing voices for a wide range of characters, often in supporting or comedic roles, demonstrating his versatility across numerous anime series, OVAs, and films. He has also been a regular voice actor in tokusatsu productions, particularly within the Super Sentai series, voicing various monster characters.

Throughout his extensive career, Sakurai has taken on a multitude of roles. In the 1990s, he voiced several of the parts listed by the user. He played Sugasuke in the 1996 anime Midori no Makibao, a role he would reprise decades later for a 2024 spin-off series titled Dokodemo Makibao, in which he also played the character Kansuke. He voiced Pekopon in the 1992 series Nutsberry Town (known in Japan as Chirorin Mura Monogatari), Silm in the 1994 adventure series Montana Jones, Triple Jim in the 1986 series Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos and its sequel OVA Leina: Wolf Sword Legend, and Lucky One in the 1994 series Tottemo! Luckyman. He also voiced Doranikov in the 1996 Doraemon short film Dorami & Doraemons: Robot School's Seven Mysteries, Dal in the 1986 series Bug tte Honey, Sueo Tanaka in the 1991 OVA Otaku no Video, Sankichi "Moo-chan" Okuda in the 1995 special Zukkoke Sanningumi Kusunoki Yashiki no Guruguru-sama, and Michelangelo in the 1996 OVA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Legend of the Supermutants. In the 2000 OVA Shin Getter Robo vs. Neo Getter Robo, he voiced Gai. His role as Kazutoyo Arai in the 2010 series And Yet the Town Moves was notable as the character's design was said to resemble the voice actor himself. He also voiced Edgebora Gee in the 2012 sci-fi series Ozma and, more recently, played the role of Mizunokoji's Dad (Asuka's Father) in the 2022 series Urusei Yatsura.

Beyond these specific roles, Sakurai has built a career with appearances in numerous long-running and popular franchises. He has had guest roles in series such as Detective Conan, Naruto, One Piece, and Hunter x Hunter (2011), where he voiced the character Tonpa. His filmography also includes significant parts in Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water as Hanson and King, and in Bleach as Tatsufusa Enjoji. He has also been a prolific voice in original video animations (OVAs) like Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Tenchi Muyo!.

A notable achievement in Sakurai's career is his role as the official Japanese dubbing voice for the character Shaggy Rogers from the Scooby-Doo franchise, a part he has played in numerous films and series.
