After graduating from the University of North Texas with a drama degree in 1975, she moved to Hollywood and secured guest roles in series such as The Incredible Hulk. She gained prominence for her performances in daytime soap operas, notably as Renée DuMonde on Days of Our Lives and as Donna Love Hudson on Another World.
Sampler transitioned to voice acting, becoming a prolific talent in the anime dubbing industry.
