Born in Texas and raised in Hong Kong and New York, she studied theatre at New York University with the initial aspiration of performing on Broadway. After returning to Hong Kong, she was introduced to the voice acting industry through a position as a dubbing script director, a field where she found she could utilize her skills and which led to a prolific career.

She is likely best recognized for voicing the title character, Momoko Sakura, in the long-running and beloved anime series Chibi Maruko-chan.
