Yoshino Aoyama is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with the agency 81 Produce. She was born in Kumamoto Prefecture on May 15, 1996. Her interest in voice acting began in middle school, where she was a member of the chorus club and a fan of manga series such as Samurai Deeper Kyo.
Aoyama's career began after she was cast in her debut role as Yoshino Nanase through an open audition for the multimedia project Wake Up, Girls! in 2012. The series aired in 2014, and she performed as a member of the real-life voice actress unit of the same name, serving as the group's leader. For this work, she and her fellow Wake Up, Girls! cast members received a Special Award at the 9th Seiyu Awards in 2015. In March 2020, she took a brief hiatus from work for medical reasons but returned the following month.
She has portrayed a wide variety of characters across anime television series. Her credited roles include Izumi Chiba in Natsunagu!, Chroe Mashima in Seton Academy: Join the Pack!, Makoto in Shachibato! President, It's Time for Battle!, Linmei in Deca-Dence, and Mami Ono in PuraOre! Pride of Orange. She also voiced Tsurumaru Tsuyoshi in the short-form anime Umayuru and Bon in Nanashi Kaidan. In 2022, she was cast as the socially anxious protagonist Hitori Gotō in the anime television series Bocchi the Rock!. Her performance was widely acclaimed, and as part of a promotional project tied to the role, she learned to play the guitar. She continues to perform as a member of the series' in-universe band, Kessoku Band, with whom she won the Singing Award at the 18th Seiyu Awards in 2024.
