Ivo De Palma is an Italian voice actor, director, and dialogist, best known for being the Italian voice of the character Pegasus (Seiya) in the popular anime series Saint Seiya (known in Italy as I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco). He was born in Naples on March 9, 1962. His career in voice acting began in the early 1980s, following initial experiences in radio and formal training in diction and acting. Based primarily in Turin and Milan, he has focused extensively on dubbing Japanese anime.
De Palma's portfolio includes a wide array of iconic roles in anime. His most famous and enduring role is Pegasus in Saint Seiya, a character he has voiced across the original television series, all subsequent OAV series, and several films. He also voiced Might Guy in the Italian adaptations of Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, Kaede Rukawa in Slam Dunk, and Jotaro Kujo in the OVA adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Other notable credits include Akira Fudo/Devilman in the Devilman OVAs, Toki in the Fist of the North Star film series, and Kazutaka Muraki in Descendants of Darkness (Eredi del buio). His work has been recognized with a Tokimeki Anime Award in 1997 for his performance as Fuuma Monou in the animated film X. He currently shares his expertise as a teacher at the Eikon Teatro, a dubbing and acting school in Turin. He is also involved in artistic projects, such as interpreting poetry for his "Spoken Words" channel on YouTube.
