Gabriel Ortiz was a Mexican voice actor recognized for his extensive work in Latin American dubbing, particularly within the anime genre, over a career spanning nearly three decades. Born on March 4, 1979, his passing on December 7, 2023, at the age of 44 marked the end of a significant chapter in the dubbing industry.

His filmography includes a wide array of prominent anime roles. He is known for voicing Ryotaro "Klein" Tsuboi in Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night. In the Saint Seiya franchise, he lent his voice to the complex characters of both Gemini Saga and Kanon de Géminis in The Hades Chapter - Sanctuary. He was also the voice of Kei Takishima in S.A and portrayed the titular character, Kenichi Shirahama, in KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple. In the long-running Pokémon series, he voiced the rival character Paul in Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl. Other notable anime roles include Hare in Studio Ghibli's Tales from Earthsea, Eliott Leland in the animated film Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, and a role in Soreike! Anpanman: Ringo Bōya to Minna no Negai.
