Julie Maddalena is an American voice actress known for her extensive work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime, as well as in cartoons and video games. Born Julia Lynn Kliewer on June 26, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, she began her entertainment career as a child actress, making her film debut in the 1984 feature Children of the Corn. She transitioned to voice acting full-time approximately a decade later, often crediting her work under her married name, Julie Kliewer.
Over a career spanning several decades, Maddalena has portrayed a wide variety of characters, frequently lending her voice to energetic and youthful roles. She is recognized for several major anime roles, including the optimistic Hikaru Shidou in Magic Knight Rayearth, a part she has cited as a personal favorite. She voiced the childlike Arusu in Tweeny Witches, the determined Dita Liebely in Vandread, and the inquisitive Sarah McDougal in Love Hina. In the fantasy film Ni no Kuni, she provided the voice for the fairy Dandy. Maddalena also took on the role of the naive yet powerful young queen Shushou in The Twelve Kingdoms.

In the Ghost in the Shell franchise, she voiced the beloved and sentient tank-like robots, the Tachikoma, in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
