Kazue Komiya is a veteran Japanese voice actor and actress born on July 12, 1952, in Tokyo. She is affiliated with the theatre company Theater Echo and has been a prominent figure in the Japanese entertainment industry since the 1960s. Her path to performance began in elementary school when she joined a children's theatre troupe on her music teacher's recommendation. After graduating from high school, she completed training at the Theater Echo Training Institute, which led directly to her long-standing association with the company.

Komiya's career is marked by a vast and diverse range of voice roles in anime, where she is known for her ability to portray characters of all ages and temperaments, from young boys to mature women and villains. Her extensive anime filmography includes the role of Kushimatsu in Otome Youkai Zakuro, Miki in UFO Senshi Daiapolon II, and Chiyoko in the anime film The Izu Dancer. She is also recognized for her work in the Touch franchise, where she voiced the mother of protagonist Tatsuya Uesugi, named Haruko Uesugi, across the television series and multiple films, including Touch: Sebangou no Nai Ace, Touch 2: Sayonara no Okurimono, and Touch 3: Don't Pass Me By.
