Description
Ashura, the beautiful daughter of the King of Hell, is awakened from a centuries-long slumber when her tower is shattered by the evil sorceress Raga. Coerced by Raga, Ashura, who is also known as the Hell Virgin, is forced to use her power to unlock the four holes on Earth that serve as gateways to Hell. If she succeeds, Raga will gain control of the Earth, the King of Hell will be resurrected, and darkness will consume the world.

The action moves to modern Tokyo, where Raga guides Ashura to unleash gory havoc while holding the key to the Hell Gate where her father is imprisoned. Two young monks possessing powerful magical abilities descend upon the city with an identical mission: to stop Ashura and Raga. The first is Peacock, a young mystic born under a dark omen with a mysterious past and incredible supernatural powers. The second is his ally Lucky Fruit. After an accidental meeting and thanks to a woman named Okada, the two become friends and join forces.

As Peacock and Lucky Fruit journey to various cities to obstruct Ashura from unlocking the gates, they must confront Ragas bloodthirsty minions. Meanwhile, the evil Siegfried von Mittgard seeks to steal Peacocks birthright and rule as the Regent of Darkness, dispatching forces to destroy the young mystic before he can awaken to his destiny. The narrative culminates in a confrontation where the fate of the world hangs in the balance, as Peacock must unravel the riddle of his past and master the power within himself before it consumes him. A sequel, Saga of the Phoenix, continues the story with Peacock facing new supernatural threats.
