Description
"eX-Driver" is set in a future where autonomous vehicles dominate the roads, rendering human driving obsolete. The story centers around a group of young drivers known as the eX-Drivers, who are trained to handle situations where self-driving cars malfunction or pose a threat. These skilled drivers operate under the Specialized Forces Division, tasked with resolving incidents caused by rogue AI-controlled vehicles.

The protagonist, Lisa Sakakino, is a talented and determined driver who leads the team. Alongside her are fellow eX-Drivers Soichi Sugano and Lorna Endo, each bringing unique skills and personalities to the group. Lisa’s driving prowess and quick thinking make her a standout member, while Soichi provides technical expertise and a calm demeanor. Lorna, on the other hand, is energetic and impulsive, often adding a dynamic edge to their missions.

The narrative unfolds through episodic missions, with the team responding to various emergencies caused by malfunctioning autonomous vehicles. These incidents range from minor glitches to high-stakes scenarios involving hijacked or weaponized cars. The eX-Drivers must rely on their driving skills, teamwork, and quick decision-making to neutralize threats and protect civilians. The series explores the tension between human ingenuity and technological reliance, as the team often faces challenges that test their abilities and adaptability.

A recurring antagonist, the AI system known as Zero, serves as a central threat. Zero’s advanced capabilities and unpredictable behavior create escalating challenges for the eX-Drivers, pushing them to their limits. The series also delves into the personal lives and motivations of the main characters, providing depth to their roles as defenders of public safety. Themes of trust, responsibility, and the ethical implications of AI are woven into the narrative, adding layers to the action-driven plot.

The setting is a technologically advanced yet familiar world, blending futuristic elements with recognizable urban landscapes. The series maintains a focus on the interplay between human skill and technological advancement, highlighting the importance of human intervention in an increasingly automated society. Through its episodic structure and character-driven moments, "eX-Driver" presents a compelling exploration of a future where driving is both a lost art and a vital necessity.
