Erich Räuker is a distinguished German voice actor and speaker, born in Bückeburg in 1953. His career began in the performing arts at the Reneke Fuchs-Theater, where he worked as both a musician and an actor before transitioning into the world of voice acting. Over the decades, he has become a highly prolific and recognizable voice in German media, lending his talent to a vast array of live-action films, television series, documentaries, and audio books. His voice is often described as edel, markant, and unverwechselbar, meaning noble, distinctive, and unmistakable.

In the realm of anime and animation, Räuker has provided the German voices for a wide range of significant characters. He is known for voicing authoritative and mature figures. A prominent recent example is his role as the elegant and strict history teacher Henry Henderson in the popular series Spy x Family. He also voiced Paragus, the father of Broly, in the feature film Dragon Ball Super: Broly. His other notable anime roles include the veteran swordmaster Hakurou in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, the strategic military leader Theo Magath in the final seasons of Attack on Titan, and Yawara Chatora, also known as the Tiger, in My Hero Academia. He also voiced the character Izuma in the Star Wars: Visions anthology, Ishikawa in Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, and M in the film The Empire of Corpses. In a landmark role for the franchise, he voiced Gendoh Ikari in the final installment of the Rebuild of Evangelion film series, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time.

Räuker's career extends far beyond a single genre or format. He is the regular German voice for numerous international stars, including Eric Bana, Alec Baldwin, and Javier Bardem. His voice is also familiar to audiences of popular television series as Saul Berenson in Homeland and Robert Crawley, the Earl of Grantham, in Downton Abbey. In addition to his on-screen dubbing work, Räuker is active in voice-over for commercials, image films, and video games. Since 2008, he has operated his own studio, weltenton, in Berlin, and in 2011 he founded a publishing house of the same name focusing on audio books and music.
