Matt Shipman is an American voice actor, ADR script writer, and director known for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series. Born on August 19, 1992, he began his professional voice acting career in 2015 with additional voices for the OVA Holy Knight. His first lead role came in 2016 when he was cast as Gear in the series World War Blue.

Shipman has built a prolific career, voicing a wide array of characters across numerous popular anime franchises. Some of his most prominent roles include Chrome in the Dr. Stone franchise, Reki Kyan in SK8 the Infinity, Floch Forster in Attack on Titan The Final Season, Hiro in Darling in the Franxx, and Hajime Nagumo in Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest. He is also well-known for his work in My Hero Academia, where he voices multiple characters including Inasa Yoarashi and Sen Kaibara. He works as an ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) script writer for various studios, including Funimation and Media Blasters, with credits on shows like A Certain Scientific Railgun T and New Game!. He has also taken on roles as an ADR director or assistant director for series such as Akudama Drive, Kemono Jihen, and Angels of Death.

In 2018, Shipman married fellow voice actress Brittany Lauda. Together, they co-own the audio production company Kocha Sound. His work has been recognized within the industry; in 2022, he received a nomination for Best VA Performance (EN) at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards for his role as Reki Kyan in SK8 the Infinity. Outside of his professional life, he is a self-described enthusiast of video games, trading card games, and anime.
