Manuela Bäcker is a German voice actress known for her extensive work in dubbing German-language versions of anime series and films. She has built a career providing German voices for a wide array of characters across various genres, becoming a recognizable talent in the German anime dubbing industry.

Bäcker's path to voice acting was grounded in formal performing arts training. Born in Neuss, Germany, in 1984, she attended the Gymnasium Norf from 1997 to 2002. Following her general education, she completed a preparatory course of study at a music school in Neuss in 2003. She then pursued and completed training as a state-recognized stage performer, with a specialization in singing, finishing her studies in 2006. This background in stage performance and music has underpinned her subsequent work in voice acting.

Her voice acting portfolio is extensive and features leading roles in some of the most prominent anime series dubbed for the German market. Bäcker has voiced central characters such as Maka Albarn in Soul Eater and the brilliant neuroscientist Kurisu Makise in both the Steins;Gate series and its sequel, Steins;Gate 0. Another major role is the titular spider, Kumoko, in the fantasy series So I'm a Spider, So What?, a character known for her internal monologue and relentless survival struggle. She has also been the German voice for Azusa Nakajou across two seasons of The Irregular at Magic High School and has taken on roles in long-running series like Naruto Shippūden, where she voiced Karin.

Her film work also includes providing the German voice for the character Kulumil in The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh. In the mystery series Riddle Story of Devil, she is the German voice for the character Kouko Kaminaga, an assassin with a specialty in explosives. Other notable roles include Alma in In Another World With My Smartphone and The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, Tsuguha in Noragami Aragoto, and Amane Nakano in Kiss Him, Not Me.
