Description
"Arc the Lad" is a 26-episode anime series based on the popular role-playing game series of the same name. The story is set in a world where humans and monsters coexist, but tensions between them are high due to the exploitation of monsters by humans. The narrative centers on Arc, a young hunter from the village of Meria, who embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind his father's mysterious death and the dark forces threatening the world.
Arc's journey begins when his village is attacked by a group of rogue monsters, forcing him to leave his home. Along the way, he encounters a diverse group of allies, including Elk, a skilled swordsman with a tragic past; Lutz, a mysterious boy with a connection to the ancient Guardians; and Kukuru, a spirited girl who wields powerful magic. Together, they form a team dedicated to protecting the world from the growing threat of the Black Eclipse, a malevolent force that seeks to plunge the world into chaos.
The Black Eclipse is led by Darc, a powerful and enigmatic figure who shares a deep connection with Arc. As the story progresses, it is revealed that Darc is Arc's twin brother, separated at birth and manipulated by the sinister organization known as the Academy. The Academy, led by the ruthless Dr. Cromwell, conducts unethical experiments on monsters and humans alike, aiming to harness their powers for domination. Arc and his companions must confront the Academy's forces, unravel the secrets of the Guardians, and prevent the Black Eclipse from achieving its destructive goals.
Throughout the series, the characters face numerous challenges, both external and internal. Arc struggles with his identity and the weight of his responsibilities, while Elk grapples with his past and his desire for revenge. Lutz's connection to the Guardians becomes a focal point as the group uncovers ancient prophecies and the true nature of the Black Eclipse. Kukuru's growth as a mage and her unwavering optimism provide a counterbalance to the darker elements of the story.
The narrative is driven by themes of redemption, the bonds of friendship, and the consequences of unchecked ambition. The world-building is expansive, with a rich history of conflict between humans and monsters, as well as the legacy of the Guardians, ancient beings who once protected the world. The series balances action-packed battles with moments of introspection, exploring the moral complexities of its characters and their choices.
As the story reaches its climax, Arc and Darc are forced to confront their shared destiny and the choices that define them. The resolution of their conflict has far-reaching implications for the world, culminating in a final battle that tests the strength of their bonds and their commitment to a better future. The series concludes with a sense of closure, while leaving room for the possibility of further adventures in the world of "Arc the Lad."

Staffel 1
1The Boy with Flame
Bounty hunters Elk and Cougar respond to a distress call from a hijacked airship with explicit orders to rescue the passengers and capture all hijackers. They board the vessel and discover only one hijacker aboard, whose motives remain unclear. During the operation, Elk encounters a young girl named Lieza held captive on the ship. Lieza possesses the ability to control monsters and travels with a lion-like creature named Pandit. The hijacking incident draws Elk and his partner into a larger conspiracy. A clandestine organization known as White House engages in human experimentation, transforming adults and children into mutants called Chimeras. Lieza herself escaped from a village attacked by White House. The episode establishes that Elk previously escaped from White House and now works as a hunter tracking targets for money. Following the airship incident, Elk begins to uncover connections between the hijacking, Lieza’s situation, and the organization that experimented on him. His path becomes tied to protecting Lieza while confronting the forces pursuing her. Elk’s commitment to uncovering the truth behind White House sets him against a government agency with deep resources and no regard for human life.
2Beginning of the Destiny
Elk listens to a radio broadcast that presents a distorted account of the recent airship incident. The Mayor rewards Elk with a bonus for rescuing the passengers, many of whom attended a ceremony unveiling a new statue honoring a goddess. The event serves as a political spectacle for the dubious politician. Elk learns that Lieza, Pandit, and a man named Galuana now face pursuit from aggressive bounty hunters. Government-linked, artificially created chimeras join the hunt for the group. Seeking to shield Lieza and Pandit, Elk decides to take on another bounty assignment. He asks Shu, a seasoned hunter who acts as his mentor, to assist him in protecting the pair. Shu agrees to join Elk, strengthening their defensive position against the mounting threats. The immediate consequence is the formation of a larger, more capable group dedicated to safeguarding Lieza and Pandit from the converging forces of corrupt officials and their monstrous creations. The episode ends with Elk and his allies preparing for the escalating danger that now targets them directly.
3Episode 3
Arc and Gaius arrive at the village of Muruta, where residents speak of unusual tremors from a nearby ruin. A young girl named Poco lives alone close to the ruin and claims to communicate with its guardian beast. Arc enters the ruin with Gaius and Poco to investigate the source of the disturbance. Inside, they find the guardian beast consumed by a dark energy that makes it aggressive. Poco attempts to soothe the beast through her connection, but the dark energy repels her and intensifies the creature’s fury. Arc confronts the beast, using his fire-based abilities to subdue it while Gaius provides support from a distance. During the fight, Gaius explains that Arc’s power originates from a soul vessel inherited from his father, linking it to the larger conflict with the organization that hunts such vessels. Arc lands a decisive strike that purges the dark energy, returning the guardian beast to a peaceful state. The ruin stabilizes, and the villagers’ fears subside. Poco, now orphaned of the beast’s presence, chooses to leave with Arc and Gaius to understand her own connection to the ancient beings. As they depart, a representative of the Dark Tower observes their movements and reports back, signaling the organization’s intent to reclaim the soul vessel Arc carries.
4Pale Goddess
The Prodias government suddenly withdraws the bounty on Pandit. Elk and Shu double their efforts to determine who continues to pursue Lieza and the creature and for what purpose. Mayor Galuana of Prodias unveils a large statue of the Goddess of Peace. He hires chimeras from White House to guard the statue against the renegade Arc. Galuana spares no expense for the unveiling ceremony. The statue holds an orb in its hand that begins to glow, immobilizing the assembled audience. Arc’s airship, the Silver Noah, appears above the ceremony. A bolt of laser fire from the ship strikes and destroys the statue. The destruction halts Galuana’s ceremony and demonstrates Arc’s direct opposition to the Prodias administration. Elk and Shu’s investigation continues alongside Arc’s open strike against the mayor’s project. The attack on the statue establishes Arc’s willingness to engage Prodias in public confrontation.
5The Criminals
Elk witnesses Arc’s attack on the ceremony and immediately identifies him as the assailant responsible for destroying the statue. Convinced Arc murdered his family,Elk abandons caution and gives chase. Arc moves toward Mayor Galuana’s location while Elk attempts to intercept him. Lieza tries to restrain Elk from pursuing Arc, but her intervention allows Galuana’s forces to capture her. Galuana threatens to resume the experiments she endured before her escape, holding her captive. Arc diverts from his pursuit to rescue Lieza, reaching her before Elk can act. After freeing her, Arc continues his confrontation with Galuana. Lieza pleads with Elk to believe that Arc is not a villain. Elk rejects her words, his conviction in Arc’s guilt unshaken. The episode closes with Elk’s fixed resolve to destroy Arc, setting the two on a direct collision course.
6Beyond the Sound of Waves
Elk pilots the airship Hien in pursuit of the Silver Noah. He destroys the enemy ship’s engine, but his own vessel overheats from the reckless chase and crashes on a remote island. Elk, Lieza, and Pandit regain consciousness under the care of Dr. Vilmer and his granddaughter Lia. Shu remains missing. A flashback reveals Dr. Vilmer previously worked with Elk at White House when Elk was a young fire master. The doctor has since fled Prodias and lives in hiding. Elk recounts to Lieza the destruction of his native village, Pilka. Soldiers attacked the village to seize the statue of the spirit of flame, and Arc led the assault that killed Elk’s parents. Elk accepts help from the islanders to repair the Hien. He plans to return to Prodias, locate Shu, and continue pursuing Arc. Elk’s determination to bring Arc to justice remains unchanged despite the crash and the revelation of Dr. Vilmer’s past connection to him. The episode grounds Elk’s personal history in the larger conflict involving White House and the hunt for Arc. With the airship under repair, Elk faces the immediate task of leaving the island and resuming his manhunt while Shu’s fate stays unresolved.
7Ancient Guardian
Elk struggles to repair the airship Hien, his frustration mounting as the work progresses slowly. Lia notices his agitation and, acting on personal feelings, informs him about a forbidden cave that supposedly houses an ancient warlock. Elk, Lieza, and Lia venture into the cave together. Inside, they discover Gequebec, a mechanical golem originally constructed by ancient warriors to serve as the Guardian of the Seven Heroes. The encounter with the dormant guardian shifts the group's focus away from their immediate repair work. While the trio remains in the cave, external events escalate without their knowledge. The Hunters' Guild formally places a bounty on Elk, accusing him of kidnapping. This new development transforms Elk from a pursuer into a wanted fugitive, adding a layer of legal danger to his existing mission. The accusation directly ties to his recent actions, isolating him from the hunter community that once supported his work. Elk exits the cave unaware that the guild now considers him a criminal. His goal of confronting Arc now carries the additional risk of capture by fellow hunters seeking the bounty. The impending return to civilization promises immediate conflict with those who now view him as a target.
8Runaway
Elk returns to Prodias and learns of the bounty placed on his head. He tracks down Shu,who conceals the full extent of his injuries from their previous battle. Lieza deduces the bounty originates from Mayor Galuana and the White House organization. Worried for her family’s safety in her home village of Horn, Lieza decides to travel there at once. Elk accompanies her, and the two board a train heading toward Horn. Military forces halt the train and begin inspecting passengers, searching for bounty targets. The soldiers close in, forcing Elk and Lieza into a confined space to avoid detection. Their journey grinds to a halt as the inspection intensifies, leaving them trapped with few options. The episode ends with Elk and Lieza cornered, facing the immediate threat of capture while the influence of Galuana and White House continues to tighten around them.
9Friend Who Was Left Behind
10The Crusade with No Name
Elk,Lieza, and Pundit traverse a desert to reach the White House. The harsh conditions overcome them, and they collapse from exhaustion. A woman named Celendia finds them and brings them to a camp. The camp treats wounded soldiers from the regional conflict. Celendia presents the camp as a neutral humanitarian effort. Lieza questions the operation after observing its organization and resources. Her suspicions solidify when she discovers Mayor Galuana provides the camp's funding. Galuana's backing reveals the camp serves strategic rather than purely benevolent purposes. Elk and Lieza find themselves inside an enemy-supported facility while recovering. Their presence in the camp places them under the control of their adversary's network. The episode ends with the protagonists trapped in a location tied directly to Galuana's influence.
11Episode 11
Arc and his group arrive in the village of Milma, seeking clues about the firebird. Kukuru detects a strange energy emanating from the nearby forest. A squad of hunters led by Galuano descends on the village, demanding the surrender of any beastmen in hiding. Arc tries to shield the villagers but accidentally reveals his beastman heritage when his arm transforms during the confrontation. The villagers, terrified, side with the hunters and bind Arc. Kukuru steps forward and announces her role as the firebird’s chosen vessel, diverting attention from Arc. Galuano orders both captured and prepares to execute them publicly to draw out the firebird. Arc, bound and enraged, undergoes an uncontrolled beastman transformation, shattering his restraints. He attacks indiscriminately, forcing Elk and the others to evade his rampage. Kukuru calls out to Arc, attempting to reach his human consciousness, but he strikes her down. The hunters regroup and set a trap using Kukuru as bait to capture Arc in his beast form.
12White House
Elk infiltrates the White House facility alongside the Silver Noah crew as they launch their assault to liberate the captive youths. He runs through the corridors searching for Meril, seeing imprisoned children whose vacant expressions mirror his own past captivity within the same walls. The Silver Noah crew engages White House soldiers and chimeras, creating chaos that Elk uses to push deeper into the complex. Elk finally locates Meril but finds her transformed into a grotesque plant-like being grafted directly into the facility's structure. White House scientists merged Meril with a bulbous organism that continuously produces the seeds used to transform humans into chimera soldiers. The organization designated her the Holy Mother, making her the central biological engine of their chimera production. Elk freezes before this revelation, confronting the guilt of having escaped years earlier without freeing her. The liberation operation forces Elk to reckon with the cost of his survival as Meril's humanity has been consumed to fuel White House's atrocities. Arc and his crew fight through the facility's remaining defenses while Elk struggles to comprehend what Meril has become. The episode closes with Elk standing before the transformed Meril as the battle for White House reaches its climax.
13The Captive
Arc and the others enter the military base in pursuit of the Dark One. Soldiers ambush them inside the hangar, forcing the group to split. Arc confronts Colonel Von Stryker, who reveals that the Dark One is a weapon developed by the government decades ago. Kukuru tries to seal the Dark One with her powers but collapses from exhaustion. Choko and Gosh escape with the unconscious Kukuru, while Arc remains behind to buy time. Von Stryker orders Arc’s capture, intending to use him as a test subject for the Dark One’s control system. Guards lock Arc in a containment cell fitted with energy restraints. In the cell, Arc meets a former hunter who underwent the same experiment and now serves as a warning. The hunter explains that the Dark One feeds on the life force of its host, leaving them hollow shells. Arc refuses to surrender, vowing to break free before the next activation cycle begins. Outside, Kukuru regains consciousness and insists on returning to the base to rescue Arc, setting the stage for a direct confrontation with Von Stryker’s forces.
14Shrine Maiden of the Spirit
Arc and the Silver Noah arrive at the Shrine of the Spirits in the Kingdom of Smeria. They bring the children rescued in previous operations and seek consultation with Kukuru, the shrine maiden. Elk travels with the group but remains submerged in rage after losing Miliru. The shrine’s protective barrier, designed to ward off evil, traps Elk inside and prevents him from leaving to pursue immediate action. Kukuru speaks with Lieza and advises her on how to guide Elk through his grief. Kukuru draws a parallel between Elk’s situation and her own past efforts to help Arc accept his destiny. Arc himself observes Elk’s turmoil but focuses on the group’s immediate security within the shrine’s sanctuary. Elsewhere in Smeria, Clive meets Andel to plan the next stage of their operation. The two antagonists coordinate their strategy while Arc’s party remains unaware of the new threat gathering close by. The episode closes with the protective barrier containing Elk’s fury even as Clive and Andel prepare to move against the shrine.
15Blaze has Stood
Andel’s subordinate Kelb attacks a village harboring anti-government members. Kelb unleashes unusually violent Chimeras on the villagers to lure Arc and the Silver Noah crew into a trap. Arc and his companions arrive and rescue the survivors. The Silver Noah returns to its hidden sanctuary, unaware that Clive follows them. Clive observes the sanctuary’s location and reports the coordinates to Andel. Among the rescued villagers, a former royal servant named Quote identifies Arc. Quote publicly declares Arc the rightful King of Smeria based on his lineage. Arc accepts the reinstatement of his royal position. Elk, frustrated by his inability to achieve similar success or recognition, storms away from the group. Lieza pursues Elk as he departs. Andel now possesses the sanctuary’s location and prepares to strike.
16Reconquer
Andel orders the crucifixion of dozens of political prisoners in Smeria, intending to force Arc into an open confrontation. Arc recognizes the trap but commits his forces to a rescue operation due to the suffering of his people. Elk disregards direct orders during the operation and allows his rage to dictate his actions. His descent into uncontrolled anger becomes apparent to Lieza, who senses his state from within the Shrine sanctuary. Lieza urgently requests permission from Kukuru to leave the sanctuary's protection. Clive observes the sanctuary from outside and witnesses Lieza's sudden, forceful departure. He acknowledges for the first time that the woman destined to replace the Holy Mother possesses greater power than he initially estimated. The confrontation in Smeria escalates as Arc's rescue mission proceeds directly into Andel's prepared trap.
17Episode 17
Arc and Elk lead their group into the Wind Clan’s floating capital,a city suspended above the clouds. The clan’s leader demands they prove their worth through a series of trials before granting access to the Wind Disk. Each trial forces a member of the party to face a personal illusion tied to their past actions. Arc confronts a manifestation of his brother Shu, who questions his resolve to stop the Great Disaster. Elk faces a reflection of his time as a bounty hunter, challenging his commitment to Arc’s cause. A young resident of the city, who possesses wind-manipulating abilities, guides them through the trial grounds. During the trials, agents from the Dark Clan breach the city’s outer defenses and sabotage the sanctuary’s protective barriers. Arc completes his trial and secures the disk, but the city’s barriers begin to fail under the Dark Clan’s assault. The clan’s leader orders a counterattack while Arc and Elk move to intercept the intruders. The episode ends with the Wind Disk in the party’s possession, but the city faces imminent destruction from the escalating battle.
18The Last Battle
Arc,Elk, and the others reach the central chamber of the Dark One’s fortress. Arc faces the Dark One, who reveals his identity as Arc’s father, Galt. Galt explains his goal of resetting the world through the awakening of the Beast Master. Arc refuses to join him. Choko, who had been captured, transforms under the Dark One’s control and attacks the group. Elk tries to reason with Choko but is forced to fight. Arc confronts Galt directly, and their swords clash. Galt demonstrates superior power, knocking Arc back. Lieza activates a device to disrupt the Dark One’s control over the monsters. The device overloads, and Lieza suffers severe injuries. The group retreats with the wounded Lieza as the fortress begins to collapse. Galt watches them escape, stating that their path will lead to further conflict. Arc vows to stop Galt despite the personal cost, and the group faces the immediate challenge of saving Lieza’s life.
19Episode 19
Arc,Elk, and Lieza reach a coastal village and find it under the control of Organization soldiers. A young beastwoman named Kukuru flees from the soldiers, who attempt to recapture her as an escaped experiment. Arc blocks the soldiers’ path and allows Kukuru to slip into the crowd. The soldiers demand the villagers hand over all beastmen, threatening to burn the settlement if they refuse. Arc confronts the squad leader, and a skirmish breaks out, forcing the soldiers to retreat temporarily. Kukuru explains that she was held in a hidden facility where the Organization fused human and beast traits to create living weapons. She escaped during a transport ambush and seeks the forest sanctuary where other fugitive experiments hide. Arc offers to escort her, but the squad leader returns with reinforcements, surrounding the village. The villagers, emboldened by Arc’s stand, refuse to cooperate, and the soldiers open fire, wounding several civilians. Arc, Elk, and Lieza shield Kukuru and fight a rear-guard action to break through the encirclement. They escape into the coastal cliffs, but the Organization deploys a tracking unit to hunt them down, putting the sanctuary and everyone involved in immediate danger.
20暗殺者
Arc and his companions arrive at the capital of Romalia to confront the true source of the Guild’s power. Lieza, still under the control of the Dark Ones, intercepts them in the palace corridors. She attacks without hesitation, forcing Arc to defend himself while refusing to strike back. Gencraft, observing from the shadows, reveals that Lieza’s mind has been sealed by a curse that only her own will can break. Arc attempts to reach her by calling out her memories of their shared past. For a moment, her eyes clear, but the curse reasserts control and she flees deeper into the palace. Meanwhile, Chaco and Galsis secure a route to the throne room, where they find the Dark One Aldus seated as the puppet ruler. Aldus explains that the Dark Ones orchestrated the Guild’s rise to destabilize human kingdoms. Kukuru, separated from the group, encounters a young girl who turns out to be a vessel for the Dark One’s collective consciousness. The girl offers Kukuru a place among them, but Kukuru refuses and destroys the vessel with a focused burst of power. The destruction sends a psychic shock through the palace, momentarily weakening the Dark Ones’ hold. Arc catches up to Lieza in the central chamber, where the full extent of her conditioning is laid bare: she has been programmed to kill him as the final test of her loyalty. Arc drops his weapon and walks toward her, accepting the risk. Lieza’s blade stops inches from his chest as her true memories finally overwhelm the curse. The episode ends with the palace guards sealing off all exits, and the Dark Ones preparing to unleash a contained explosion to eliminate the intruders along with the entire royal family.
21Episode 21
The party breaches the outer defenses of the Dark One’s stronghold. Arc leads the main assault while Elk’s team infiltrates the eastern tower to deactivate the barrier. Guards intercept Elk’s group, forcing him to confront a Dark One general who once enslaved his village. Elk uses his wind magic to overwhelm the general, but the general’s final attack mortally wounds one of Elk’s allies. Arc reaches the central keep and encounters a projection of the Dark One leader. The projection taunts Arc about his father’s death, attempting to provoke him into reckless action. Arc refuses the provocation and instead channels the firefly’s energy to sever the projection’s connection to the barrier. The barrier collapses, allowing both teams to reunite at the main gate. Inside, they find the Dark One’s inner sanctum guarded by three elite warriors. The episode ends as Arc orders a simultaneous charge, and the warriors release a wave of dark energy that separates the group.

Arc,Elk, and their allies begin gathering intelligence to mount an offensive against Yagun's forces. Quote and the rebel soldiers coordinate with the Silver Noah crew to plan their assault. The group sets their sights on Yagun's flagship as the primary target. A fierce battle erupts off the coast of Smeria. Arc and his companions advance toward the enemy vessel with the rebels' support. Meanwhile, Clive's subordinates continue their work to transform the captive Lieza into the new Holy Mother. Celendia observes the procedure but grows suspicious of Clive's true objectives. She begins to question whether Clive has been honest about his ultimate plan. The episode cuts between the escalating naval confrontation and Lieza's dire situation aboard the Chimera laboratory. Arc's forces push forward even as Lieza's transformation process moves closer to completion. Clive's hidden agenda threatens to undermine the operation from within as Celendia's doubts surface.
23Frozen Eyes
Elk and his allies corner Yagun following the previous battle near Sumeria. Elk confronts Yagun directly in a face‑to‑face encounter. Despite cornering their target, the group cannot determine Lieza’s location. Yagun does not reveal where she is held. Shu acquires new information regarding Lieza’s whereabouts during the confrontation. The intelligence gives the group a concrete lead on her captivity. Clive intends to use Lieza to open the Holy Ark, an act that would release darkness upon the world. The group pools their resources to shift focus from defeating Yagun to rescuing Lieza before Clive completes his preparations. Elk’s pursuit of Yagun gives way to the urgent mission of locating Lieza. The acquisition of Shu’s information sets the group on a direct course to prevent Clive from using Lieza as the key to the Ark.
24Episode 24
Arc and Elk lead the resistance forces into the Dark One’s central tower. The group splits into two teams: one to disable the barrier generators and the other to press toward the core chamber. A resistance fighter sacrifices herself to destroy the final generator, taking a fatal blow from a corrupted guardian in the process. Arc and Elk enter the core chamber and find the Dark One already fused with the ancient amplification device. The Dark One declares his intention to overwrite the memories of all people, creating a world without opposition. Arc refuses the offer to join him and attacks, but the Dark One’s barrier repels the strike. Elk provides suppressing fire while the barrier flickers from the generator’s destruction. Arc seizes the opening and lands a direct hit, disrupting the Dark One’s control over the device. The Dark One retaliates by manifesting shadow copies of deceased allies, forcing the group to hesitate. Arc orders the others to evacuate, remaining behind to confront the Dark One and the apparitions alone. The episode closes with Arc standing against the swarm of shadows as the rest retreat to regroup outside the collapsing tower.
25Holy Ark
Arc,Elk, and the others solidify their resolve for the final battle and set course for Romalia. The Silver Noah navigates through black clouds toward the Chimera research headquarters where Lieza remains imprisoned. Clive continues his preparations to open the Holy Ark, the sealed vessel containing the source of Darkness. He commands the brainwashed Lieza to participate in the ritual necessary for breaking the seal. The group encounters numerous traps and enemy forces arrayed to stop their advance. Each obstacle delays the heroes as Clive moves closer to his goal. The Darkness inside the Ark threatens to engulf the world once released. Elk pushes forward knowing that saving Lieza requires stopping Clive before the seal breaks. The heroes fight through the defenses knowing that failure means losing Lieza permanently to Clive’s control. Clive’s preparations near completion as the group breaches the final barriers to reach the Ark’s chamber.
26Episode 26
Arc and the surviving members of his group descend into the deepest chamber beneath the sacred ruins. The Dark One manifests in its full form,a swirling mass of corrupted energy that has consumed the civilization’s life force. Arc draws the full power of the Fire Ark, channeling it through his sword as Elc, Lieza, and Gala provide covering attacks to weaken the entity’s barriers. Choko and Poco combine their restorative abilities to keep everyone standing against the continuous waves of dark magic. The Dark One targets Arc directly, attempting to absorb him into the core, but Arc resists by summoning the memories of those who fell before him. With a single concentrated strike, Arc shatters the core, causing the entity to collapse inward. The ruins begin to crumble as the miasma over the land dissipates. Lieza helps an exhausted Arc outside, where they meet up with the others. The group confirms that the monsters spawned by the Dark One have ceased their rampage across the world. Arc announces his intention to travel alone to ensure no remnants of the corruption remain, but the others refuse to let him go without them. As they walk together toward the horizon, the scene shifts to the revived capital beginning its reconstruction under the leadership of the remaining military council.
