Description
Chichi appears as a supporting character in Dragon Ball GT, having been a central figure in the family since her marriage to Goku at the end of the original Dragon Ball series. Her background establishes her as the daughter of the Ox-King and the devoted, if often frustrated, wife of the Earth's greatest defender. By the time of Dragon Ball GT, she is the mother of two grown sons, Gohan and Goten, the grandmother of Pan, and the mother-in-law of Videl.

Her personality in this series has softened somewhat from the overbearing tiger mother archetype she embodied in Dragon Ball Z, though she remains practical, strong-willed, and deeply concerned with the well-being of her family. The fiery temper and frequent violent outbursts directed at Goku for his fighting obsession are still present, but maturity and the passage of time have given her a more settled demeanor. She is less focused on forcing her sons to study and more accepting of their lives, though her primary motivation continues to be the safety, stability, and happiness of her household. She is particularly unsettled when her husband, Goku, is transformed back into a child by a wish from Emperor Pilaf, as she finds the situation frustrating and surreal, though her deep care for him remains unchanged.

Chichi plays a minor but meaningful role in the story of Dragon Ball GT. She is primarily seen managing the home at Mount Paozu and interacting with other key female characters. She maintains a close friendship with Bulma, as the two share the unique experience of being wives to Saiyan warriors. Her relationship with her daughter-in-law Videl is depicted as very warm and coordinated, with the two often seen working together on household tasks, showcasing a strong and默契的 (tacit understanding) bond. When a devastating threat emerges, Chichi, like nearly the entire population of Earth, falls under the mind control of the parasitic alien Baby. She is later freed from this possession through the use of sacred water. Her quiet strength is also shown when she supports her family from the sidelines during the final battles against the evil Shadow Dragons. In the series' emotional conclusion, she is present to say goodbye to Goku as he departs the mortal world atop the Eternal Dragon Shenron.

In terms of development, Chichi shows little dramatic change within Dragon Ball GT itself, having already completed most of her character arc in previous series. She is fully established as the resilient matriarch of the Son family, having long since accepted the unusual and dangerous lives her husband and children lead. While she does not engage in combat alongside the Z-Fighters in this series, she is not without notable abilities. She is a skilled martial artist in her own right, having trained Goten during his childhood when Goku was dead. Though her power level is insignificant compared to the Saiyans or major villains, she remains a capable and formidable human fighter, far above the level of an ordinary person. However, her role in Dragon Ball GT is almost entirely domestic, and she does not participate in any of the major battles on-screen.
