Born on April 28, 1961, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Price developed an interest in acting during his childhood. He pursued this passion academically, earning a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Fine Arts from California State University at Long Beach. His entry into voice acting came through Dorothy Fahn, a friend of his wife, who was impressed by his distinctive voice. His early career included stage work, such as a production of Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys in Los Angeles.

Price's voice acting filmography is extensive, encompassing a wide range of roles in English-language dubs of popular anime series.
