Jean-Michel Vovk is a Belgian actor born on May 21, 1961, in Algiers, who has built an extensive career in both live-action performance and voice dubbing. He trained at the Institut national supérieur des arts du spectacle et des techniques de diffusion (INSAS) in Brussels from 1984 to 1987. While his work spans theater, film, and television, he is particularly well-known for his prolific voice work in the French dubbing of numerous animated series and films.

In the realm of anime and animation dubbing, Vovk has lent his voice to a wide array of characters. He is the regular French voice of Magma in the Dr. Stone franchise, including its various arcs such as Stone Wars, Ryusui, and New World. He voiced Eric Toga in the series B: The Beginning and its sequel, B: The Beginning Succession. He also played Lysandre in the Pokémon: Mega Evolution Specials. His other notable anime roles include Camus du Verseau in Saint Seiya: The Hades Chapter - Sanctuary, Kurt von Rudersdorf in Saga of Tanya the Evil, Iwa in A Letter to Momo, and Pedro in One Piece.

Beyond these, his dubbing filmography is extensive. He has voiced Zane in Ninjago, several characters in Naruto, and Zekrom in Pokémon films.
