Description
Kohane Hatoya, a cheerful and energetic high school student, decides to join the cheerleading club after being inspired by a group of cheerleaders she saw at a sports event. Despite having no prior experience, Kohane’s enthusiasm leads her to recruit her childhood friend, Uki Sawatari, and their classmate, Hizume Arima, to form a new cheerleading squad at their school. The trio faces numerous challenges as they navigate the basics of cheerleading, from learning routines to building teamwork and confidence.
Kohane’s determination and optimism serve as the driving force for the group, while Uki, initially reluctant, gradually warms up to the idea of cheerleading and discovers her own passion for it. Hizume, a quiet and reserved girl, finds cheerleading to be an outlet for self-expression and personal growth. Together, they work to overcome their individual insecurities and inexperience, often seeking guidance from their upperclassman, Kotetsu Tatejima, who has a background in gymnastics and provides technical advice.
As the series progresses, the group expands to include other members, such as the athletic and competitive Kana Uehara, who joins the club to support her younger sister. The cheerleading squad faces various obstacles, including rivalries with other schools, internal disagreements, and the pressure of performing in front of an audience. Through perseverance and teamwork, they gradually improve their skills and develop a strong bond as a team.
The narrative emphasizes themes of friendship, self-discovery, and the importance of pursuing one’s passions, even in the face of adversity. The characters’ growth is portrayed through their interactions and the challenges they overcome together, highlighting the transformative power of teamwork and dedication. The series balances lighthearted moments with heartfelt scenes, creating a cohesive and engaging story about the journey of a group of girls striving to achieve their goals in the world of cheerleading.
