Toshio Furukawa is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator born July 16, 1946, in Tochigi, Japan. He is affiliated with Aoni Production and began his career in 1972, with his debut voice role being a soldier in the anime Brave Raideen. He is married to fellow voice actress Shino Kakinuma.

Furukawa is regarded as a veteran in the voice acting industry, known for his versatility in portraying a wide range of characters, from comedic roles to calm and serious figures, as well as noble, hot-blooded heroes using a "boy voice". Some of his most iconic and long-standing roles include Piccolo in the Dragon Ball series, Ataru Moroboshi in Urusei Yatsura, Kai Shiden in Mobile Suit Gundam, Shin in Fist of the North Star, Asuma Shinohara in Mobile Police Patlabor, and Portgas D. Ace in One Piece. His career has spanned over five decades, and he has continued to take on new roles in recent years, such as Hantengu in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Uri Reiss in Attack on Titan Season 3.
