Description
Abby Trott is an American voice actress known for her extensive work in English dubs of anime, animated series, and video games. Born on May 8 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, her path to voice acting was an international one. After graduating from Brandeis University with degrees in theater arts and East Asian studies, she moved to Akita, Japan, where she taught English for two years through the JET Programme. She then transitioned to performing in puppet shows in Tokyo, an experience that laid the foundation for her voice acting career. Upon returning to the United States, she settled in New York City and won an online voice acting contest hosted by Bang Zoom! Entertainment, a pivotal moment that led her to move to Los Angeles and begin working professionally with the studio.
Trott is perhaps best recognized for her role as Nezuko Kamado in the global phenomenon Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, a part she has reprised across all seasons, including the Mugen Train Arc, Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc, as well as the series' films. Her versatility as a voice actor is evident in the wide range of characters she portrays. She takes on leading male roles, such as the titular character in the 2021 remake of Shaman King, Yoh Asakura. Her filmography includes a multitude of other significant anime credits, such as Linhua Hachisuka in Engage Kiss, Fou in Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, Ichi Mezato in Mob Psycho 100 II, Hojo in Teasing Master Takagi-san, Kasey Ann in Super Crooks, Nasa Houston in The Orbital Children, Reina Haba in Drifting Home, Inui in Aggretsuko, Yukina in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato, Tae Takemi in PERSONA 5 the Animation, a young Tetsudo "Poppo" Hisakawa in anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, Riko Aida in Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game, and Nanami Miura in Japan Sinks: 2020. She also voiced both Kotona Takashima and Astrid in the film Ni no Kuni and Asagiri in B: The Beginning Succession.

She is well-known to gamers for her roles as Annette in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Pod 153 in Nier: Automata, Maya Fey in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, Gwen in League of Legends, and Wonder Woman in MultiVersus. In Western animation, she has voiced Ivy in Carmen Sandiego and Spiral in X-Men '97. A notable achievement outside of character work is her performance of the English version of "Lifelight," the main theme song for the popular video game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Her work has also earned her recognition within the industry, including a nomination for Best Voice Artist Performance (English) at the 8th Crunchyroll Anime Awards for her portrayal of Nezuko Kamado.
