Tomoko Kaneda is a Japanese voice actress and radio personality born on May 29, 1973, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the Department of Architecture at Kanto Gakuin University and previously worked as a teacher before entering the voice acting industry. Her career as a voice actor has been active since 2000. Kaneda began her professional journey at Aoni Production, where she was affiliated for eleven years. She became a freelancer in April 2011 and subsequently transferred to Across Entertainment in August of the same year, where she remains.

Kaneda is widely recognized for her distinctively high-pitched voice, which naturally suits roles of young children, cute creatures, and energetic characters. This unique vocal quality has become her signature in the industry.

Among her extensive list of roles, several stand out as particularly iconic. She is well-known as the voice of Chiyo Mihama in the beloved comedy series Azumanga Daioh. She also gained fame for her role as the adorable Calumon in Digimon Tamers. Another major role is that of Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck in the long-running series Bleach and its sequel, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

Her filmography is diverse and prolific, featuring a wide array of characters. She portrayed Popuko in the surreal comedy Pop Team Epic and Bonta-kun in Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu!. In more recent years, she has voiced Masukuma in 4-Nin wa Sorezore Uso o Tsuku and Misako Hikizuri in Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre. Kaneda has also contributed her voice to numerous other series, including Akubi Girl as Akubi, The Morose Mononokean II as Keshi, Hanaukyo Maid-tai as Cynthia and Grace, Seto no Hanayome as Sarutobi Satori, Binbō Shimai Monogatari as Asu Yamada, Petite Princess Yucie as Belbel, The Ambition of Oda Nobuna as Hachisuka Goemon, and Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Sanctuary Arc as the Silver Moon Princess.

Beyond anime, Kaneda has also voiced characters in video games, such as Dori in Genshin Impact. Her work has extended to dubbing for foreign productions and narrations for various media.

In addition to voice acting, Kaneda is an active radio personality, having hosted numerous radio programs throughout her career. She is also a singer and has been a member of two voice-acting units: Drops, alongside Mariko Kouda, Akemi Kanda, Ai Nonaka, and Ryoko Shiraishi; and SD-Children with the late Miyu Matsuki. Through these groups and her character roles, she has contributed to many character song CDs, soundtracks, and albums. Her contributions to the industry were recognized in 2015 when she won the Voice Actor Category award at the Yahoo! Japan Search Awards.
