Ayaka Ohashi

Description
Ayaka Ohashi is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on September 13, 1994, in Saitama Prefecture, though she moved to Tokyo at a young age and considers it her hometown. She is affiliated with the talent agency HoriPro International and releases music under the Lantis label. Her career is marked by high-energy performances in major multimedia franchises, where she often portrays cheerful and determined characters.

Ohashi's path to voice acting began with experience as a child actress, appearing in television commercials, dramas, and educational programs after joining a theater company in Tokyo. A formative voice acting workshop with this company sparked her interest in the profession. In 2011, she was a finalist in the 36th Horipro Talent Scout Campaign, which led to her joining the agency and making her voice acting debut in 2012 with a minor role in Amagami SS+ plus. Her first major recurring role came shortly after as Fleur Blanc in Eureka Seven AO.

That same year, she was cast in two roles that would define her early career: Uzuki Shimamura in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls and Ran Shibuki in the long-running Aikatsu! franchise. As Uzuki, the bright and earnest main idol of the Cinderella Girls project, Ohashi became a core part of the franchise's extensive live concert events and media mix. Her association with Aikatsu! would span multiple series, later adding characters like Yozora Kasumi in Aikatsu Stars! and Mirai Asuka in Aikatsu Friends!.

A significant turning point arrived in 2015 with her role as drummer Saaya Yamabuki in the multimedia music project BanG Dream!. As a member of the in-universe band Poppin'Party, Ohashi performs live on stage as the band's drummer, a skill she had developed since elementary school. This role showcased her musical abilities and became a central part of her public persona, leading to numerous live performances, including major events like Animelo Summer Live. In 2014, she also launched her solo singing career with the single YES!!, the opening theme for the anime Sabagebu! -Survival Game Club!-, in which she also voiced the main character, Momoka Sonokawa.

Throughout the late 2010s and 2020s, Ohashi continued to build an extensive and varied filmography. She took on leading roles such as the tsundere heroine Aki Adagaki in Masamune-kun's Revenge, for which she also performed the opening theme, and the fierce Vodka in the blockbuster multimedia franchise Uma Musume Pretty Derby. Other notable performances include Kurome in Akame ga Kill!, Yayaka in Flip Flappers, Kaede Akino in Magia Record, Yoo Mira in The God of High School, Hatsune in Princess Connect! Re:Dive, Sylphy Marheaven in The Greatest Demon Lord is Reborn as a Typical Nobody, Taiga Toma in Super HxEros, Harpy in Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, and Koharu Otori in Hensuki. Her recent roles include Serika Kuromi in Blue Archive the Animation and Ange in Synduality: Noir.

Ohashi's work has earned her recognition within the industry, including the ANiUTa AWARD 2018 for Spring Anime Theme Song of the Year for her single NOISY LOVE POWER☆. She has maintained a strong presence as a live performer, with solo concerts consistently selling out. Her career also includes providing the voice for the VOCALOID4 voice library, MATCHA.
