Description
Hikaru and Yoshiki are childhood friends living in a quiet rural town. Their lives take a dramatic turn when Hikaru dies unexpectedly in a tragic accident during the summer. However, shortly after his death, Hikaru reappears, seemingly alive and unharmed. Yoshiki is initially relieved but soon realizes that the Hikaru who has returned is not the same person he once knew. The entity inhabiting Hikaru’s body is something otherworldly, a being that mimics Hikaru’s appearance and memories but lacks his humanity. This unsettling transformation forces Yoshiki to confront the eerie reality of his friend’s condition.

As the story progresses, the relationship between Yoshiki and the entity becomes increasingly complex. The being struggles to understand human emotions and memories, often failing to replicate Hikaru’s personality accurately. Yoshiki, torn between grief and fear, grapples with his loyalty to the memory of his friend and his growing unease around the creature that now wears Hikaru’s face. The narrative explores themes of loss, identity, and the boundaries between life and death, as Yoshiki attempts to reconcile his feelings for the Hikaru he knew with the unsettling presence that has taken his place.

The series delves into the psychological toll of this situation, highlighting Yoshiki’s internal conflict and the entity’s attempts to navigate its borrowed existence. The rural setting amplifies the sense of isolation and tension, as the two characters navigate their fragile coexistence. The story unfolds with a slow, deliberate pace, emphasizing the emotional weight of Yoshiki’s struggle and the eerie ambiguity of the entity’s true nature. Through its exploration of grief and the uncanny, the series presents a haunting meditation on the fragility of human connections and the lingering impact of loss.
